How times have changed. Last year, Revolution looked like it was the big hit of the 2012-13 season. Now, NBC has cancelled it, according to TV Guide.
Revolution revolves around the Matheson family and others who live in a world where there is no longer any power. The cast includes Billy Burke, Tracy Spiridakos, Giancarlo Esposito, Zak Orth, David Lyons, JD Pardo, Stephen Collins, and Elizabeth Mitchell.
Following The Voice, Revolution started out very strong last year but the numbers fell as the season progressed. NBC renewed it for a full season off 22 episodes anyway and relocated it to Wednesdays at 8pm. It’s really struggled in that timeslot and this week fell to a 1.2 demo rating with 3.78 million viewers — an all-time low.
Not surprisingly, NBC has decided not to order a third season. There are two installments remaining and they will air on May 14th and May 21st. The final episode of ABC’s Mixology will also air on the latter date.
What do you think? Did you stick with Revoluton? If you ran the network, would you have cancelled the show or renewed it for a third season?
Ratings have killed more shows than can be named and most of those were shows that were liked . I say kill the ratings and have good shows stick around longer or sell the show to another network that will keep it going .
I was looking forward to see another season. Too bad they should
Bring it back for the last season and finale
I loved the show as it was something different and very interesting. You need to revisit why you are canceling and add a 3rd season.
I enjoyed the show very much and am sad to see it’s cancelled. NBC don’t have a lot to brag about so I can’t understand why they would cancel something people liked.
I loved the show and i want it back. Im looking forward bring it back because season 2 finale dose not make sense and we meed to know what the nano up to and how the electricity will come back. We need the show back its really the best show ever I’m gonna cry bring it back.
the show had great promise. good story line but the direction made no since. no one could shoot straight. friends one day enemies the next. the man who murdered my husband and son is now my ally. that was it for me. just stupid writing week after week.
I followed it wherever they (NBC) put it.I loved the storyline and characters. To bad that NBC did not finish out the story. They should have ordered a half a season at least to finish the series.
Maybe a Movie Studio will pick up where NBC left off. That way we can finally see the power turned back on!
I live in the UK and we get the fan fare of another great US show coming to our shores. Once again another one I avidly watch is cancelled.
To be honest it is not worth watching anything coming out of the US until it reaches Season 3 as I have no idea whether it will get cancelled.
Loved the storyline. More importantly, I loved the actors. A perfect cast! Please bring the show back. Are the ratings always the decision maker? What a shame! I loved the Blackbox & Almost Human also. First we are hooked and entertained then “poof” the shows are canceled, the actors are gone. How disgusting.
I loved this show! You just keep taking off the good ones and putting crap on!
I’d have re-new for 3rd season so there could at least be an ending without being left wondering what the heck. . . . . . .
If Revolution is not renewed for season 3 we will start a Campaign against the network .
You know cut your nose off to spite your face. I will try to get as many people not to watch the network as possible until Revolution returns. No matter how bad they have something I might want to watch.
Very disappointed that this show was cancelled. I looked forward to this show every week. It had it all. Best show on t.v. in a while. Please bring it back!
Why was this GREAT show cancelled. First Almost Human and now this one. Its hard enough to find entertaining shows without blinding sex, bad language and truly no story. Dallas is back and why. This program and content and plenty of twists and action. We watched it from the beginning, we feel so betrayed.
I absolutely loved watching the show “Revolution”; I looked forward every week to see what new adventure they would have. It was one of the best shows that have been on TV in years.
Please reconsider. Whoever decision this was must have no taste its better than the reality shows that are on. Seriously, who cares about how all the rich people live do you really think us medium class people want to see what we don’t have.
