Although Big Brother rules the roost three times a week, CBS can’t run reality programming every night during the summer. Despite low ratings for a Tiffany Network TV series, James Patterson’s drama Zoo is currently in its third season. Now they’ve launched the Salvation TV show. Can it live up to its name? Will Salvation be cancelled or renewed for season two? Stay tuned.
A CBS suspense drama, Salvation, stars Santiago Cabrera, Jennifer Finnigan, Charlie Rowe, Jacqueline Byers, Rachel Drance, Shazi Raja, and Ian Anthony Dale. The thriller follows MIT graduate student Liam Cole (Rowe) and tech genius Darius Tanz (Cabrera). Because they don’t want to cause public panic, the two present Pentagon Press Secretary, Grace Barrows (Finnigan), with evidence that in six months, a huge asteroid will crash into the Earth.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly in the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
9/21 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the Salvation TV series? Should it be cancelled or renewed for a second season on CBS?
10/18/17 update: CBS has renewed Salvation for a second season of 13 episodes. Details here.

Please renew! It is the best summer show………hands down!!!
A simply entertaining, no political implications or current day messes included = refreshing TV and something to watch while eating popcorn. This, of course, resonates more with us older folks as we have learned that simply entertaining is such a relief from reality, and a love story or two is a wonderful, HAPPY thing, instead of the common angst garbage being thrown at us everyday. Gets better and better as the shows unfold, not excellent TV which I would have to recommend Sinner for that, but refreshingly ENTERTAINING TV that doesn’t give one a headache or make one feel like… Read more »

My vote is to go for Season 2. Season 1 introduced us, made friends with us, and we want to see jow everytbing works oht. We want to know all the answers: Darius’ health, Liam’s love, Grace, Harris, Tess RE/SYST, Pres. McKenzie (wbo takes our breath away as a wise, compassionate contrast to the actual current preaident of the USA. We want it all to play out. This is one of the best sci fi dramas we’ve seen in quite a while.
Please renew it shows the best and the corrupt but we cheer for the righteous which is rare in television.
