What do you think? Do you like the Saving Hope TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
Saving Hope is boring………delete!
[…] terms of the ratings, Saving Hope debuted on June 7th with a disappointing 0.7 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 3.24 […]
i love saving hope cant wait for more they should air it twice a week
Saving hope? Was bad- The 3 main actors have no chemistry!
They should cancel it. It is not a good show, and they should fire the idiot who decided that every single light source in every scene needed a lens flare, even to the point of obscuring actor’s faces. Even the reflections of light on chrome in the background are glinting with annoying lens flares!
Also there seems little point to the series, Shanks is just moping around the hospital, occasionally talking to a ghost, but not actually doing anything, he should be helping patients somehow, you would think , as it usual in these type of shows.
The fact that Saving Hope is made with a Canadian twist is good. There are many aspects that such a show will never make it on American screens! An openly gay doctor in a mainstream show? And a Spiritual side of things too. As long as it remains on Canadian screens, I don’t care if the US networks don’t want a second season. There are things that Americans just won’t accept..like Little Mosque on the Prairie!
I saw the scientist from StarGate in an internet frame ad, and thought I better check this out. When you think of the long side of things, how can a guy stay in a coma for 7 years? Its like you already know he is never going to wake up, because they would have noone to tell what was learned from the episode if he did. I dont have cable, so I will watch out for it on the web to see if they give this guy any chance at waking up for the first couple of episodes, but if… Read more »
It is a smidge too over acted and obviously has no medical people helping the writers with accuracy. I wish them well. ER was believable; this is not.
I’am sorry for the 4 fans of Saving Hope : Delete S. H. was BAD!
Lots of drama in the premier, but a flashy start out of the gate doesn’t make up for a trite storyline…ghost not withstanding. It’s been done before, guys, and not successfully. Spinning out the same type of show that has been rejected in the past isn’t going to have a different result. But kudos to the producers for trying to boost ratings by signing actors with active fan bases. The flurry of hype by fans who will watch anything their favorite actor is in regardless of the show could account for the ratings that were higher than this plot warranted.… Read more »
I have long given up on any medical drama so I don’t have much I can compare SH too. But I gave it a go and I was not dissappointed. I love the supernatural spin it has, without making it too ‘ghostly’. The narration was wonderful, their was some characer development in all three leads right from the start. It was not difficult to follow the show and it was easy to like the characters and so, yes, I really liked it and I hope hope hope that it has the chance to develop and grow instead of being thrown… Read more »
I loved the first episode of Saving Hope. I love the concept of the show. I really enjoy anything to do with the supernatural. I really look forward to watching this summer. Would love to see it stick around.
Very interesting new show, love the concept – something different to watch. I’m a big fan of the three main cast members. Quite a different kind of a love triangle, part of me wants to see Alex reunite with old flame Joel, yet at the same time hopes Charlie comes out of his coma to find Alex’s love as true as ever. It will be interesting to see how the show develops and how the triangle between the three main characters evolves, twist and turn. Will be tuning in every week!
I do not watch a lot of TV mainly because I have been discouraged about the type of programming that is out there, but I have to say that Saving Hope makes up for this. Its very unique plot and great acting make this a show that I plan on watching every Thursday evening. I hope everyone that is unsure or want to give up on it after only one episode change their mind and give it a chance. Remember shows like The Big Bang Theory and NCIS started off mediocre at best and overtime have developed into the shows… Read more »
