It looks like Still Star-Crossed is on the way out, but what does the cast think? Recently, star Torrance Coombs discussed the ill-fated ABC TV show on Twitter.
From executive producer Shonda Rhimes, the period drama is a sequel the William Shakespeare tragedy Romeo and Juliet and follows the feud between the Montagues and the Capulets in the wake of the two lovers’ deaths. The cast includes Grant Bowler, Wade Briggs, Torrance Coombs, Dan Hildebrand, Lashana Lynch, Ebonee Noel, Medalion Rahimi, Zuleikha Robinson, Sterling Sulieman, Susan Wooldridge, Anthony Head, Caspar, Carl Chambers, Greg Chillen, Shazad Latif, Clara Rugaard, and Lucien Laviscount.
While ABC has not officially announced the cancellation of Still Star-Crossed, it’s effectively done. After only three episodes, the network moved the drama from Monday to Saturday nights, a not-so-promising move.

Still star crossed should have a season two. It was really good and interesting. I also want ton know what happens to the prince and will Rosaline and Bernivlo continue their romance. (Sorry if I didn’t spell hid name right) Still star crossed has its good points like, it had a lot of drama and romance.
This show was great I’m a big Shakespeare guy and Romeo and Juliet was by far my favorite play and always wondered what happened to the familys after there deaths, so happy someone had the guts to do a sequel, I think the problem with this show was 1 it was on ABC, and 2 there was never any advertising for this show, I didn’t find out about the show until the day it was premiering I saw a preview of it during General Hospital I hope that it gets shopped around and another network or netflix saves it, the… Read more »
I like the show… I think it should have a 2nd season. I watched every episode. It was good to have a show that was both different and entertaining.
Well, Shonda hooked me again & I have faithfully anticipated & watched every episode. Found this site searching for when season 2 would begin…only to find I’ve wasted my time enjoying this program. I was truly enjoying my trip into the distant past with my weekly “fix” watching Still Star-Crossed (even set TV on auto to be sure it would switch regardless who was watching what) ABC, there are very few shows I am faithful to, 3 of 4 are Shonda’s…and THIS quickly became one of my favorite must watch shows. I’m sad to see SSC go. I enjoyed watching this well written period piece with a strong cast. A show doesn’t have a chance on the big 4 networks unless there’s gun violence, crime scene investigators, tons of blood and mediocre (at best) acting. SSC gave me hope that a drama on one of the big 4 can have substance and class, w/o all the nonsense viewers thrive on and have grown to expect from networks. Well back to the BBC dramas for me. I personally really enjoy this show. In a world of crime, medical, science-fiction, fantasy and reality TV shows…I am captivated by a show that is a political, family drama in the old world. The costumes are beautiful and the actors bring the fictional world to life. If you decide to cancel, PLEASE give the TV audience a semi-series with another season to finalize everything with some closure. I was hoping another network might pick up SSC. I hate reality TV. This was something so different and fabulous, than you Shondra.
I really liked SSC and was excited to have a new drama to watch. I’m not in to watching other people’s **** reality tv, acting stupid comedies, or stab me in the back political dramas. But I must not be an average tv watcher. I say this bc many shows that I find I like get canceled after one or two seasons. Disappointed again!
I LOVE THIS SHOW!!! And, hate to hear that it has not been renewed….heaven forbid if we have a show that is not a mindless game show, a “scripted” reality show, some sort of “celebrity sports” show, an NCIS show or crime investigation show. The networks really do need to find some new material!!!!!
I really liked the show. This is the reason why I don’t like new shows because ABC cancel them so quickly! I. E… Blood and Oil, I loved that show! I saved it on my DVR!

I love SSC and as usual I knew it wasn’t going to make it. People don’t like different but I anxiously await for the next episode. Sorry it wasn’t successful.
I really love Still Star-Crossed, it is so interesting and different from other historical fiction dramas. I was so hoping that this one would not get cancelled, but yet again I am disappointed (some of the best shows have been cancelled in their 1st season by their respective companyies, such as Firefly, Terra Nova, Doubt, Forever, and many others). I personally don’t have a traditional T.V., I only watch shows on Hulu and other online sites. I really enjoyed SSC! It was a different spin on the Romeo & Juliet story. And I loved the casting choices. The diversity on the show within the families was wonderful. I commend Shondaland for daring to air this show. I am so sorry that it didn’t find an audience.

I loved this show. I am seriously disappointed in learning that it will not be co.i g back for a second season. I can’t believe it. Would someo e please pick it up and continue this show.!!!
