The new ABC series called the forgotten has received a bit of good news. The network has decided to order five more installments. Does this mean that it won’t be cancelled?
Starring Christian Slater, the forgotten follows a group of civilians who work together to find missing persons once the police have reached a dead end. Aside from Slater, the series features the talents of Michelle Borth, Heather Stephens, Bob Stephenson, Rochelle Aytes, Anthony Carrigan, Judith Hoag, and Lily Rains.
Debuting on September 22nd, the forgotten got off to a slow start with just a 2.6 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 9.54 million total viewers. It lost a large percentage of the Dancing with the Stars lead-in audience and 12% of viewers tuned in before the hour was done.

The following week, viewership dropped to a 2.0 in the demo and 7.72 million. While overall viewership fluctuated in later weeks, the demo numbers stayed at the same disappointing level.
In a somewhat surprising move, ABC has decided to order five additional installments. Of the news, co-executive producer KristieAnne Reedd tweeted, “Very excited about the additional order of episodes for the forgotten.”
While this may seem like the network has faith in the series, it’s more likely an indication of other scheduling challenges caused by things like the cancellation of Eastwick.
Unless the forgotten’s ratings turn around, it’s difficult to imagine that ABC will order any more or invest in a second season.

Come on people! Don’t cancel this show the Forgotten. It’s great, the storyline it great. The actors are great. Christian Slater is fantastic!! This show is so much better than all those realty shows that are on, keep in mind, there are real people goes missing every day that this show makes everyone aware of each and every show.
Please don’t cancel The Fogotten, I think it’s interesting and beats out all the reality shows and medical shows. I love the cast and stories please keep it on people that haven’t watched it are really missing out. KEEP IT ON PLEASE!!!
I loved the show the forgotten to watch every tuesday at 10.00 p.m every week , is different tham other shows. Also I really like the show so much is interesting and real stories that happen in life, many people never found in US and their families never will know what happend to them because the police can resolve the case or give up on the case. I hope this show stays around for a while. It’s well written and well acted, and I really look forward to seeing Christian Slater each week.

Pleae Please do not cancel THE FORGOTTEN..it is the only tv program that I watch on ABC…reality shows are sickening…….and boring….and there are far too many of them….

please do not cancel forgotten. the show is excellent. it keeps your attention and its a good family show. the networks seem to cancel all the good shows and leave us with all these horrible reality shows. the networks seem to cater to the young audience and forget about the 50 and over group that are actually staying at home and watching tv.
The forgotten is an awesome show, I really hope it comes back for season 2
their are only two newtwork channels i watch abc and cbs because they have the best shows. please don’t cancel the forgotten it is one of the shows i enjoy watching on abc. i don’ care for reality shows their are too many on tv now. it’ the best show on abc. debra
I like the forgotten and hope it stays longer than five episodes. It’s the best show that ABC has had on in a long while.
You need to keep The Forgotten on. It’s not a scripted Reality Show. So that makes The Forgotten a show worth watching. The Forgotten is also informative and entertaining. I could go on about why you should keep it on the air. But unless you get a multitude of people writing in, asking you not to cancel The Forgotten. It will be gone this summer. Do something daring for a change and keep it on the air for another year.
PLEASE DON’T CANCEL “THE FORGOTTEN”. ITS ONE OF THE “GREATEST” WRITTEN SERIES SHOWN ON TELEVISION FOR A LONG TIME. THERE IS JUST TOO MANY REALITY SHOWS THAT ARE JUST SIMPLY “SILLY” TO WATCH. “THE FORGOTTEN” IS WORTH WATCHING.
