A couple weeks ago, we reported that Debra Messing tweeted that NBC had ordered five additional episodes of The Mysteries of Laura. It now appears that wasn’t the case and the actress had confused the network’s ordering of five additional scripts for episode orders.
Today, the network actually ordered some more episodes but they only want three, well short of a full season pick up. While the additional episodes order is good news for fans of the series, it would seem to indicate that the network is not very happy with the series’ ratings.
The Mysteries of Laura revolves around a brilliant-but-harried NYPD homicide detective (Messing) who must also juggle raising her young twin boys as a single mom. The rest of the cast includes Josh Lucas, Laz Alonso, Janina Gavankar, Max Jenkins, Callie Thorne, and Med Steedle.
What do you think? Do you like The Mysteries of Laura TV show? Should NBC have ordered more episodes? Do you think this is a bad sign for the future of the series?
This show is great it is serious but funny at the same time. I am looking forward to this season and many more to come. Please keep this series going. Great combo of characters. This is a television show that the family can watch.
Love this show. Easy to watch after really stressful days work. Makes me smile. Please give us more????
Why is it that anything that isn’t full of sex and potty humor gets cancelled. This is a fun show with some excitement and clever plots. Come on NBC, do the right thing. Put it on the air.
I love the mysteries of Laura. I want Laura and jake back together again
