You knew it would come sooner or later. Sony has a released a Smurfy new trailer for the upcoming live-action/CGI version of The Smurfs. Based on the work of Peyo and the 1980’s Hanna-Barbera animated series, the movie revolves around the cute blue creatures ending up in our world while continuing to be pursued by evil Gargamel (Hank Azaria) and his cat, Azrael.
The Smurfs movie stars Neil Patrick Harris, Jayma Mays and Sofia Vergara with Tim Gunn and Frank Langella, as the narrator. The voice cast includes Jonathan Winters as Papa Smurf, Katy Perry as Smurfette, Alan Cumming as Gutsy, Anton Yelchin as Clumsy, Fred Armisen as Brainy, George Lopez as Grouchy, Gary Basaraba as Hefty, John Oliver as Vanity, Paul Reubens as Jokey, Kenan Thompson as Greedy, B. J. Novak as Baker, Jeff Foxworthy as Handy, and Wolfgang Puck as Chef Smurf.
Directed by Raja Gosnell with a screenplay by J. David Stern and David N. Weiss, the film is scheduled to be released to conventional and 3D theaters on August 3, 2011.

Smurfs are just like little Avatars almost! Accept, they can be Clumsy, Brainy(smart), or Grumpy, LOL! I really enjoy looking forward to this hilarious, amzizng movie. I like all of the smurfs, but Jokey, Clumsy, Brainy, Smurfett, and Papasmurf are my TOP FAVORITES!!! LA LA LA LA LA, SING A HAPPY SONG!!!

I had never heard of smurfs until now! They are so adorable and funny! I think it is going to be an amazing, funny movie. My favorites are Smurfett, Brainy, and Clumsy!

I will love this movie when it comes out in the boxe in August. I’ve always being a fan of the smurfs since i was a kid. My bedroom has a big stuff animal of a smurf hanging right in the middle of the wall plus i have posters of papa smurf&smurffete. Thank you for giving us the remake of the smurfs. I best know and remember the smurfs by the pitufos. That how we call them in spanish my native language. And for last i still love to wacth the smurfs on the cartoon net work channel.
