The alphabet network has announced that new seasons of reality competitions The Bachelor and The Taste will debut in January.
The Bachelor is returning for its 18th season on Monday, January 6th, at 8pm. Episodes will run for two hours and will revolve around Juan Pablo Galavis’ search for a mate. He’s a single father of a daughter from Miami, Florida. He was a fan favorite on the ninth edition of The Bachelorette but Desiree couldn’t see a future with Juan Pablo and sent him home from Barcelona.
The Taste is back for its second season and episodes have been expanded to two hours. The new episodes will air on Thursdays, starting January 2nd, leading into The Assets. The competition will once again pit 16 culinary competitors against one another and they’ll be judged and coached by chefs Anthony Bourdain, Nigella Lawson, Ludo Lefebvre, and Marcus Samuelsson. The latter replaces Brian Malarkey who was a judge in the first season.
What do you think? Do you like either of these reality shows? Do you like one better than the other?
The Bachelor-UGH! It’s always sucked; will suck this time, too. Sooner watch paint dry. Hope it finally tanx.
The Taste-I’ll at least sample it, but there are a lotta culinary competition shows on the food netlets. Thing is, just about all the competing chefs make good food, ant it boils down to the jusges’ individual tastes. One judge’s delight might be another judge’s barfbag.
The only thing I’m wondering is, why?
