Top Gear is back in gear. According to Digital Spy, the popular UK series will return to the BBC on May 5th.
This will be the series’ 23rd season and the first to feature new host Chris Evans.
Evans was announced as host in June after long-running host Jeremy Clarkson’s contract was terminated. Co-hosts Richard Hammond and James May left with him, along with executive producer Andy Wilman.
Digital Spy reports that Clarkson, May, and Hammond may have a deal with Amazon Prime for a new series. Nothing official has been announced yet.
However, the new season of Top Gear will feature a new cast and 16 new episodes.
What do you think? Do you watch Top Gear? What do you think of the original cast leaving? Will you still watch the new season without them?
Won’t be watching the new version of the show. Hopefully, the Amazon version will get off the ground.
Sorry, but this is likely the last season for Top Gear. BBC was extremely dumb to terminate Clarkson and let the others go. Those three guys made the show popular, now that they’re gone I damn sure won’t be watching.
Looking forward to the hopeful Amazon show!!
