Will UnREAL go off with a bang or a whisper? Series co-creator Sarah Gertrude Shapiro recently spoke with Variety about the future of the Lifetime show.
The drama stars Shiri Appleby and Constance Zimmer as the producers of a Bachelor-like reality show called Everlasting. Craig Bierko, Josh Kelly, Jeffrey Bower-Chapman, and B.J. Britt also star in the second season.
Speaking to Variety, Shaprio said she knows how UnREAL will end:
When I sold the show, I sort of had a five season arc in my head about what each season meant. I don’t know if we’re going to stick to that.”
Lifetime renewed the series for a third season last week, days ahead of its season two premiere, which airs tonight, June 6th, at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
What do you think? Are you a fan of UnREAL? What do you hope happens in season two? How long do you want the show to last?
Why should we renew Unreal? Devious maids is a whole lot better. A lot of people wanted to see the season 5. Because there was quite some things that weren’t answered. But everything was answered to Unreal. It is not to late for Devious Maids. Please bring this back. If Unreal was like Devious Maids than I would not bother you.
Sure, go the full FIVE! If the writers can keep it fresh, and have a plan/process to take the story through, let ’em!
