Sadly, the Visitors aren’t among us any longer. After two short seasons, ABC has cancelled their V TV series.
A reimagining of the original V, this series tells the tale of what happens when an advanced alien race arrives of Earth professing their desire to help mankind. Fortunately, not everyone trusts them. The second season features the talents of Charles Mesure, Elizabeth Mitchell as Erica Evans, Joel Gretsch, Laura Vandervoort, Logan Huffman, Morena Baccarin, Morris Chestnut, and Scott Wolf.
For season one, V ended up averaging a 2.25 rating in the coveted 18-49 demographic and 5.7 million average viewers. It was “on the bubble” but ended up being renewed for a 13 episode second season. The network was hoping that the show would catch on and the ratings would improve.

ABC later reduced the episode order to just 10 installments and debuted them mid-season. Unfortunately, ABC’s gamble didn’t pay off. Season two of V ended up averaging only a 1.9 in the demo and 5.49 million viewers.
Though the network and producers maintained that the show was still in contention for next season, it was clear that there would only be a third season of V if ABC was willing to gamble once again. In the end, they weren’t.
ABC confirmed today that V has been cancelled after two seasons and 22 episodes. The series finale aired on March 15th and, unfortunately, there were lots of unresolved cliffhangers. Hopefully the producers will someday share what they had in mind for season three.
What do you think? Are you sad that V won’t be returning next season? Why do you think the series didn’t catch on?

I can’t believe another great show cancelled.
very disgusted, just found out today and was patiently waiting for the 3d season. i’m done with abc will never watch another show on that station again, they will probably replace it with some reality garbage because it cost them so much less. abc to heII with you !
I think ,if ABC started the series, they should also finish it. V was good sci-fi series and should have proper end.I bought bouth DVD and now I feel decieved
these moron excutives are always deceitful they are just as bad as politicians !
I MADE AN ERROR WHEN I SAID THAT THERE WERE ONLY 20% THAT DID NOT WANT THE SHOW BACK IT WAS ONLY 3% THAT SAID NO 2% SAID THEY DIDN’T KNOW AND 95% THAT SAID IT SHOULD STAY ON THE AIR. WHY NOT USE A QUESTION AIR LIKE THIS THAT IS MADE PUBLIC. SO PEOPLE KNOW WERE TO GO AND VOTE AND I THINK THEN YOU WILL GET A BETTER FIGURE OF WHAT YOU SHOULD DO ABOUT THIS AND MANY OTHER SHOWS YOU HAVE CANCELLED. IT IS SO SO UN FAIR 2 US LOYAL FANS WE WERE LEFT NOT KNOWING… Read more »

I AGREE SHAME ON YOU ABC!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And this is why I hate TV. Every time they get a good show on they cancel it, and fill the time slot with garbage.
I’m sad..I loved the show. Very well written ABC did not promote this show properly. I stumbled on it in the first season and was hooked. Too many unanswered questions, if results aren’t instant the viewer does not matter. Shame on you ABC
I AGREE I AM SO ANGRY WITH ABC THEY OWE US AT LEAST A GOOD 3 HOUR SPECIAL TO TELL ALL US FANS ALL THE ???????S AND WHAT HAPPENS TO ALL OF THE PEOPLE ON THE SHOW AND WHAT HAPPENS TO THEM AND IF THEY DO TAKE OVER EARTH OR WE WIN THEY ARE JUST WORRIED ABOUT MONEY AND THEY LOST OUT ON THERE BIG DECISION TO CANCEL THIS SHOW ONLY 3% SAID TO CANCEL IT AND 95% SAID TO KEEP IT AND THAT DOES NOT COUNT THE FANS LIKE MYSELF THAT JUST FOUND OUT TODAY THAT IT WAS NOT… Read more »
I do not think it is fair to the viewers to just drop a show in such a way that they are left hanging. There are very few shows that are decent to watch and V was one of the good ones. You really need to do what is right by the viewers and return V to the schedule.
I’ve been wondering why I’ve heard nothing about the upcoming V season. Finally looked it up and saw THERE ISN’T ONE! Dang! I was really looking forward to it!
I can’t believe they will not renew this series. It was entertaining, provocative, sexy and had a great story line. I guess people are more in tune to Snooki and Kim.
We really enjoyed the series and didn’t know what
Happened to it until now. I think more advertisement was needed and the time it aired hurt it.
Shame on you abc lets go back to Fox guys
very very sad I kept looking for it on tv and made sure my dish was ready and had my dvr ready for action. I seen the original and loved the new effects and cast even more. Sad I was one of the few who watched the V every week. Thanks anyway for the ride because i am wishing that it comes back !!!
Yes very sad . My sister and some friends have been looking and trying to find out want happen, or did it change net works . Very sadden to read cancel it was a good show .sick of reality shows have nothing to watch a very sadden fan…
There has to be another season of V! ABC owes us viewers season 3! Come on it can’t end like that.
I’m mad for this stupid decision and for not taking in consideration all the followers i wish abc will reconsider and bring it back or if the can take voting for all of us
