TV show description:
The story begins as fashionable teen True Jackson (Keke Palmer) is selling sandwiches with her friend Ryan (Matt Shively) in the fashion district of New York City. By chance, designer Max Madigan (Greg Proops) sees True and compliments her on her clothes.

Max then realizes that the clothes True is wearing are his own designs, but she’s altered them to suit her own tastes. Max loves the altered pieces and decides to hire the 15-year-old designer to be a Vice President of Youth Apparel for his company, Mad Style.

Delighted but scared out of her wits, True hires her energetic and unfocused friend, Louise “Lulu” Danfordton (Ashley Argota), to be her personal assistant.

With Ryan and Lulu’s help, True does her best to design freely while learning to navigate the corporate world and deal with real-world obstacles. Mad Style co-workers like the snotty VP of Women’s Fashions, Amanda Cantwell (Danielle Bisutti), are less than enthusiastic about working with an under-age teen.

Along the way, True begins to find her niche as a fashion maven. She also begins building new friendships and romantic interests with co-workers like sensible secretary Oscar R. Eception (Ron Butler) and cute mail-runner Jimmy Madigan (Robbie Amell).
