Zero Hour: Cancellation Reactions from the Cast

zero hour canceled? As you may have already heard, Zero Hour has been cancelled by ABC after only three episodes. The news doesn’t come as a surprise as the debut represented ABC’s worst scripted premiere in the history of their regular seasons. The numbers for episodes two and three were even worse.

Still, there were at least five million or so people who made a point of watching Zero Hour each week. They’re understandably upset about the cancellation news — as are members of the cast.

Addison Timlin (Rachel): “The end of zerohour brings me great sadness, but every ending is a new beginning and that is always laced with hope. Thank you all, truly.” “What to the world was just 3 episodes was a whole year for us. Truly an honor to know, work with and love you, to everyone on the team. Xo”

Jacinda Barrett (Laila): agreed with Timlin’s second statement and added, “couldn’t have said it better. Xxxx”

Carmen Ejogo (Beck): “In a NY minute everything can change In a NY minute things can get a little strange” “#nomorezerohour I guess that means I can start watching American Idol again. #alwayslookonthebrightsideoflife” “I believe process is often more important than outcome. I had the BEST time making @ZeroHour_ABC with everyone all year, so #noregretsbaby”

Scott Michael Foster (Aaron): “I absolutely loved #ZeroHour and everyone who worked on it. Will miss filming one of the coolest and enjoyable shows I’ve been on.” “To all my wonderful twitter followers, you make the hard part of this job so much easier with your kind words and support. Thank you.”

What do you think? What was your reaction to Zero Hour being cancelled? What did you think of the work of the show’s cast and crew?

Loved Zero Hour. It simply did NOT belong on ABC. If it had aired on Fox or SYFY, it would have found a ready made audience. Eventually it’ll make it to Netflix, so at least we’ll get to finish the season. Last Resort kicked butt, too. Two smart shows with great casts…

Firefly revisited. Hope another network picks up Zero Hour. I thought the show was great and should have gained a large audience following. I was hooked by the first episode.

I was hoping that I could watch something with mystery and intrigue without it involving drugs and murder and con artists for money and power sake alone; but unfortunately I am mistaken and very disappointed.

Loved this show, my husband and myself watched it every week and couldn’t believe it when they cancelled it. You would think they would give it a chance. Hope somebody brings it back. It’s a good show.

My mom and I were really enjoying this show. We had our DVR to record all new episodes after the first episode aired. I am so disappointed that it was cancelled. They say that 18-49 didn’t enjoy the show…well I’m 22 and I enjoyed this show as well as did some of my friends. I hope some other network picks it up!

I can’t believe this show has been cancelled ! It was one of the most interesting shows on T.V. The networks just don’t give enough time for the shows to catch on. I loved this show, and some of my friends had not even heard of it. They just started to watch it, and loved it and it stopped playing. PLEASE bring it back, not everyone like those stupid reality shows, some of us do have some intelligence !!!

You networks are really upsetting me, and it’s not just old people that watch this show! I’m 14.5 and me and my friends love this show. Every week we would take turns at each others house to watch this show. America is becoming a weak country because of the rubbish you put on television for young people to watch. That’s why many of them have no since. So please for me and my friends put ZERO HOUR back on the air. And it’s very very very matter of fact an excellent show!!!!! PLEASE
