The first episode registered a 1.4 in the 18-49 demographic and 9.45 million total viewers. It was in second place for the timeslot, behind Kitchen Nightmares in the demo. However, A Gifted Man easily won the timeslot in terms of total viewers, attracting nearly as many viewers as NBC, ABC, and CW combined.

Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
What do you think? Do you like the A Gifted Man TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or be renewed for a second season?

I hope CBS keeps The Gifted Man. I have always loved Fridays because of the show.
The cast is wonderful and please keep them all as well as they all work together beautifully.
Good luck to The Gifted Man!!
Please Renew this show…one of the few shows that I take the pain of watching. If CBS cancels this show,I’m so over the network. Give it a new day. Wednesdays there is hardly anything to watch on the network, put it on that day.Common guys don’t be such spoil sports,Michael and kate romantic angle had just started to develop…you are spoiling all the fun 🙁
I love this show. All new shows take awhile…I second the statement…us over 40 are really sick of stupid reality shows. We have the money not the silly teenagers. Do we really need another cop, singing competition or survivor/race.
A Gifted Man has actually become a show I look forward to seeing on a weekly basis. It definitely should be given at least a full season, because I really think it’s coming into it’s own. the cast is really good, and I love the potential romance between Michael and Kate. It would really be crush to the audience to not let them see how that develops.
Please keep this show. It is one of the better one’s on television that a family could watch together.
Please keep the show on. It is one of the best on TV. I am a huge fan of Patrick Wilson and the cast is great. Please renew this show. My Friday nights are perfect now.
A Gifted Man was a gift to the viewers who have watched and many who are starting to watch. I am so sick of REALITY tv… sorry but it is not my reality. Patrick Wilson is topping my list of favorites, give him another season. The 50s PLUS want something to sink their teeth into. Trust me, they have money to spend on sponsors. I have worked for 40 years and the reason I love Friday is A Gifted Man.
Please do not cancel this show. It gives hope to those who are less fortunate with no medical insurance that there is a place to go to get care. It has a stallar cast. Sometimes it can’t be about ratings, but the message it sends. There is so much wrong in the world today, but this show sends a glimmer of hope. Please Nina don’t cancel .
DUMP IT! The show gets more depressing every week. The writing staff for this show were down right cruel on the last show. Never again for me!
Please keep this show. It’s cruel to your audience to leave the story line up in the air as you did with the last show. With the scarcity of good dramatic shows, it’s no wonder the audience goes to cable rather than watching network shows. Reality shows are mostly inane — too many of them. So please do not cancel “A Gifted Man.”
With the rash of police dramas and reality programs we need shows like A Gifted Man.
I really hope CBS decide to keep it on the air
Most new shows starting out on Fridays seem to be doomed. Blue Bloods succeeds because of Tom Selleck being in another cop drama and all of the pre-premiere hype. A Gifted Man has no big name draws, but it is a show about ethics, personal transformation, sacrifice, and a prideful man who must come to terms with choices to do the right thing. It’s a bit of House mixed with a little ER….with a pinch of Ghost Whisperer. The former two both were very successful, but were never on Friday. Ghost Whisperer, was on Fridays and made it several seasons… Read more »
KEEP THE SHOW!
