ABC had three shows that had gains this time around — Primetime, Castle, and Body of Proof. Jamie Oliver’s show got off to an unimpressive season two debut and Happy Endings had a mixed premiere. Many of the network’s other shows were down week-to-week.
Which ABC TV series will be renewed or cancelled depend mostly on the show’s ratings, particularly the 18-49 demographic. Before we get to the season-to-date averages, here are the winners and losers from April 8th through April 14th — based on the coveted demo, as measured against the last original episode.
Week-to-Week Gains: Primetime: What Would You Do? 1.4/4 (+7.7%), Castle 3.0/8 (+7.1%), and Body of Proof 2.5/7 (+4.2%).
No Change: 20/20 1.5/4, America’s Funniest Home Videos 1.6/5, Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution 1.5/5 (new), Wipeout 1.9/6, and Happy Endings 2.8/7 (new).
Week-to-Week Losses: Shark Tank 1.2/4 (-7.7%), Secret Millionaire 2.4/7 (-11.1%), Brothers & Sisters 1.8/5 (-14.3%), Dancing with the Stars 4.5/12 (Mon, -4.3%), Dancing with the Stars 3.1/8 (Tues, -3.1%), The Middle 1.8/6 (-10.0%), Better with You 1.5/4 (-11.8%), Modern Family 3.9/10 (-11.4%), and Happy Endings 2.3/6 (2nd ep, -17.9%).

Below is a list of the regular ABC TV shows and their 2010-11 season average ratings to date. It only incorporates the ratings for original episodes and not repeats. The data is sorted by the all-important 18-49 demographic averages. The closer a show is to the bottom, the more likely it is to be cancelled. Fridays and Saturdays are the least-watched nights of TV so those shows get lower numbers.

“Off the Map”….. best drama on television. This show is incredible. It has such substance and high quality to become a hugh hit, if given the chance. Change the time slot, day/week and all of the med/drama lovers will tune in. This show is comedic and has a rainbow of great qualities. Please don’t pull this wonderful feel good show.
Now I know that people here tend to say this about every show here, but What Would You Do? is the best show on televsion. They should keep that. As for Off the Map, it would be nice if they kept it, but it and every show beneath Mr. Sunshine is probably not coming back.
