The alphabet network has ordered two additional scripts for Back in the Game and Super Fun Night. The new sitcoms air on Wednesday nights.
Four episodes of Back in the Game have aired so far and is averaging a 2.0 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 6.9 million total viewers.
Having the plum post-Modern Family slot, three episodes of Super Fun Night have aired. The comedy is averaging a 2.6 demo rating with 6.94 million viewers but has seen steep declines each week since it premiered.
Last week, fellow new sitcoms Trophy Wife and The Goldbergs were given orders for three more scripts apiece.
Only one of ABC’s new series — Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD — has been given a full season order to date. Lucky 7 has been cancelled and, at this point, Betrayal is sure to be.
What do you think? Have you been watching these sitcoms? Do you think ABC should order more episodes?
I LOVE “Back in the Game.” This is a cute family type show and a big departure for James Caan from his tough guy rolls.
To ALL the networks…. stop getting rid of programs because those under 49 aren’t watching… Don’t the rest of us (with the spending $) count any more? We probably watch more tv and spend more $ than the younger set, so pay attention!
