Bo has some amazing abilities but unfortunately they didn’t help save her series. NBC has cancelled the Believe TV show after one season.
Believe revolves around a young girl who has special abilities and the adults who are trying to protect her. The cast includes Johnny Sequoyah, Jake McLaughlin, Delroy Lindo, Kyle MacLachlan, Jamie Chung, and Arian Moayed.
The series got off to a positive start, thanks to its premiere airing on a Monday night after NBC’s top-rated show, The Voice. Unfortunately only about 60% of that episode’s audience decided to tune in to watch the second episode six days later.
The ratings kept falling lower each week. This week’s installment of Believe drew just a 1.0 demo rating with 4.33 million viewers. Those numbers were just too low to justify ordering a second season.
On the positive side, it appears that NBC plans to order all of the remaining four episodes.
What do you think? Are you sorry that Believe hasn’t been renewed for a second season?
Yes, I’m very sorry to hear that Believe has been canceled. It’s one of the few shows that actually has some decency in it, and I watched it every week.
So sorry to see this program being cancelled. There is very little television programing that is family oriented. NBC all it seem you want is smut TV and reality shows. Don’t you all have families. Wouldn’t you want a descent show for pre-teens to watch. It’s truly ashame. But you all keep going corupting our youth with horrible programing and you wonder why there is so much out of wed lock pregnacy, violence, and murder in our society. Most Tv programing sucks these days. Get a clue NBC money isn’t everything.
Well you hit the nail on the head! It is bad enough that TV imitates society in its television programming, ie, crime shows with murders (more than we need); reality TV shows that depict the self-absorbed, self-serving egos of the rich and money (empty content), sexual preoccupation (value degradation), must we be reminded seven days a week in programming of how we live. Of course, why would anyone want to watch a program like “Believe” that could influence life as we know it to do good, provide hope, encourage positive values, service to humanity and the preservation of the idea… Read more »
I so agree with Marcie. Continue the show in a positive manner by having Bo see the visions and save people’s relationships, lives etc. What a refreshing idea instaed of sex and violence and reality that isn’t real at all!
I have just found out about this believe and I was extremely diasappointed when someone told me it has been canceled .. In all honesty this is MY NEW FAVORITE SHOW!!!!! BRING IT BACKKKKKK.. Please!!!!!
It’s a shame that when a clean show without gory violence and too much sex doesn’t make it. Our society is really changing. It’s all dumbed down. People get bored without smut.
While I agree that Believe was good, I don’t understand what you mean by “Our society is really changing. It’s all dumbed down.” TV has never been better and that’s why shows are being cancelled. Some shows have to lose. Simple math and nothing to do with “dumbed down.”
I agree every time I find a show I can watch with my kids they cancel it. It is sad that the only creativity includes inappropriate content for families. This was one of our favorite shows as well! They are crazy for cancelling it!
As with most of the comments above, I also would like to see this show renewed. Its premise is fresh against all the other line ups on TV. Its not a ‘Death and dismemberment or reality show.’ It is ais a great storyline of ‘caring’ something not many people do in this world anymore. Too bad NBC doesn’t get it.
Well, once again, another intelligent, unique show being cancelled! Try moving to a different day, time, anything! So sick of reality, and the rest of the garbage on t.v. This is an insult to anyone with any type of sense for decent television. Shame on NBC!!!
My daughter and I are very upset we never missed a show I think that the 1.0
was us like bo would say give this show a second chance
Please
Eff ur face nbc! Have you even considered hulu plus ratings? One of the best shows on!
I’m very disappointed about Believe being canceled. I’m quiet surprised that they didn’t give this show more time. I also really liked Revolution and Dracula also canceled. It really sucks that three out of the 5 shows on NBC that I watch are gone. Now the only NBC shows I watch are The Blacklist, the best show they have, and The Voice, which I tend to record then scan through it to hear just the parts that I want to listen to. I hope they re-think things and reconsider keeping this show.
Believe was one of the better shows on NBC. It should have been moved to another time slot not given the boot after one season. I am reluctant to watch NBC’s series because of them being yanked after I get into them.
Loved this show on Sunday nights. Was hoping it would continue without the dark side–
Just Bo helping people! M
So as I turn on Believe for what I think us the last time. In stead of Series Finale it says Season Finale. Did we manage to save it?
I also thought that it was cancelled, but it said season finale. What gives?
My wife and I are extremely disapointed to hear the show was cancelled. We felt that with each week the characters developed, the relationships became richer and we were very taken in particular with the Tate and Bo’s development. I’m feeling once again that a very good show has somehow failed to capture an audience. I’m inclined here to blame the audience as Believe showed real potential. I was very happy at least that they managed to tie up the immediate loose ends to form a very enjoyable, alas last show. Good job to all involved, its too bad the… Read more »
No, sorry.
Unbelievable!!!! Yes NBC You are a bunch of idiots for canceling this show! Was the BEST show I’d seen in a long time. Get a clue put it back on, and maybe you can redeem Yourselves.
Why would you even THINK of cancelling ‘Believe’ ? great show!
