The following is the fourth part of a list of TV series that are ending or have been cancelled during the 2010-11 season.
For more, be sure to check out part one, part two, and part three of the listings.
Note: Go here for the latest 2011-12 season list.
Networks and cable channels have different ideas of when a season starts or ends but, to us, it makes sense to start the season on June 1, 2010 and and it on May 31, 2011. In some cases, the last episode of a show aired earlier than these dates but the network didn’t get around to canceling the series until later. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, try the 2008–2009 page, the 2009–2010 listings.
Scoundrels (ABC)
Airing over the summer, this TV show performed even worse than its sister show, The Gates. All seven episodes have aired and there won’t be any more.
Shaq Vs (ABC) NEW
This reality series pits the star athlete against other stars in their own fields of expertise. It ran for two seasons and 10 episodes but is now done.
Secret Diary of a Call Girl (Showtime) NEW
Star and executive producer Billie Piper signed a deal for the fourth and final season of this UK series. They’ll begin airing on Showtime on April 7th.
Skating with the Stars (ABC)
Essentially an on-ice version of Dancing with the Stars, this reality series was not a hit in the ratings and won’t be back for season two.
Smallville (The CW)
After 10 seasons, it looks like Clark Kent will finally become Superman. Will we get to see the man of steel slip on the familiar blue and red tights before the end? We’ll have to wait and see.
Stargate Universe (Syfy)
The most recent member of the Stargate franchise hasn’t attracted as many fans as the previous series. Syfy has cancelled the show and all of the episodes have now aired. Producers and MGM are looking at possible ways to continue the series in some way.
The Suite Life on Deck (Disney) NEW
After two series, it looks like Mr. Moseby is finally getting a rest. Mr. Tipton sells the ship and Cody, Zack, London, Bailey, and Woody graduate.
Supernanny (ABC)
Nanny Jo Frost announced that she wanted to end the series so that she can start a family of her own. The finale aired on March 18, 2011.
Terriers (FX)
Though many viewers and critics loved it, this series never caught on in a big way. FX aired all 13 episodes but there won’t be any more.
Traffic Light (FOX) NEW
This sitcom got poor ratings right out of the gate and they went lowers as the weeks went on. FOX has cancelled it after 13 episodes and one season.
True Beauty (ABC) NEW
Contestants on this reality show believe that they’re competing in a contest of external appearance and talents but they’re actually being judged on their inner beauty. It lasted 16 episodes and two seasons.
Tyler Perry’s House of Payne (TBS) NEW
This sitcom revolves around the Payne family who live in a suburb of Atlanta, Georgia. With 222 episodes, it’s the second-longest running US sitcom with an African-American cast (behind The Jeffersons).
Undercovers (NBC)
An action-comedy series that revolves around a husband and wife spy duo never really got off the ground. The peacock network has decided against ordering anymore episodes, effectively cancelling the TV show.
V (ABC) NEW
The alphabet network renewed the serial despite lackluster ratings. Season two did even worse so the cancelled it. Sorry Visitors!
United States of Tara (Showtime) NEW
The ratings had been sliding for quite awhile so the cable channel decided not to order a fourth season.
The Whole Truth (ABC)
This legal series starring Rob Morrow and Maura Tierney had lousy premiere numbers and the ratings seemed to sink lower every week. It’s not known if the network will get around to airing all of the episodes.
Working Class (CMT)
The cable channel’s first sitcom had a great start but the ratings dropped too low for it to get renewed. The last episode aired on April 1st.

What do you think? Are there any shows on this list that you’ll particularly miss?
I was a faithful watcher of The Event and V knowing that genre is always at risk to get cancelled. However, the one they messed up on was Rubicon. This had the makings to go on for several years. Come on AMC, bring it back.
We will miss The Event…..we never missed an episode. It was nice to have this show after 24 was off the air. They take a quality show off like this, but keep all the crap on TV? Never will make sense to me.
The Event was just getting interesting
Why did they take the good ones off and keep the rinky-dink ones?? I am so bummed that “Off The Map”, “Chase”, “The Defenders”, “Terriers”, “Hawthorne”, and “Trauma” were all cancelled! It’s almost not even worth turning the TV on anymore; besides, once I get interested in a series, it’ll just be cancelled!!
I WILL MISS “THE GATES”, BEING, PROBEBLY, THE ONLY ONE WHO LIKED IT. I’M A “VAMPIRE DIARIES”, “SUPERNATURAL”, “BUFFY / ANGEL” AND SO ON, FAN. I WISH “MOONLIGHT” WITH ALEX O’ LAUGHLIN WAS STILL ON; THAT “SMALLVILLIE” WAS STILL GOING WITH CLARK IN THE RED / BLUE SUIT. THEY ALWAYS STOP THE GOOD STUFF BEFORE IT HAS A CHANCE TO REALLY GET GOING. THAT GOES FOR “NO ORDINAIRY FAMILY”. IF THE CRITICS WOULD GIVE SHOWS MORE OF A CHANCE INSTEAD OF CUTTING THEM OFF AFTER 2-4 EPISODES, I BET THE SHOWS WOULD GET MORE VIEWERS. THIS SEASON I FOUND ONLY… Read more »
I loved the first and only season of Trauma… mainly because I’m a paramedic two. The fact is that it ended so… wordless…
I’m so sick of them starting interesting shows and then killing them off just as they start to get their stride!!! Only the poorly written, cheap-to-produce shows keep showing. Blech!!! This fall … I’ve sworn off television completely. Shut it off. Refused to watch. Refuse to watch the ads that go with them. Refuse to buy those products. None. Not a single hour of television of week. Not even on the internet. Amazing … after about three weeks of serious withdrawal, I adjusted to my new routine and am happier for it. I’m seriously considering cutting cable and telling hubby… Read more »
I will miss the closer, lie to me amnd the protector which I really enjoyed. A pity
I’ll miss the Defenders, Outsorsced, lie to me, Breaking in…. They were good shows. Sorry they didn’t make it… Oh one more Chaos
V, The Good Guys, Terriers, Chase, The Event, Bleep my Dad says, The Defenders are great shows. It’s a shame they were cancelled…I’m not buying the “low ratings” excuse either. THe new shows on this season so far are lame and poorly written. I guess my family will have to go to the library and start reading even more than we already do since this seasons viewing is so bad.
I will miss Brothers & Sisters, V (it was a good, modern remake of the original…too bad) and Human Target (it was just starting to have some meat, and the relationships between the characters were finally starting to materialize to make it even more interesting).
I’m going to miss Brothers & Sisters, V, Harthorne, Chase, The Event and House of Payne
I liked Caprica and I think they were just catching their stride. I will be missed but at least the ending was satisfying. Hopefully the next BSG spinoff will be based on the Cylon war. This kind of action adventure should keep viewers glued.
Really disappointed that V didn’t get another shot. It too was just getting to the meat of the plot and now there are so many unresolved plot lines, hope they consider a good ole mini series and wrap this one up for the fans of the orignal and the new series.
I will miss: All My Children (I won’t follow it online); Lie to Me; The Closer; Secret Diary of a Call Girl; Better With You; Brothers & Sisters; Rubicon; and Dark Blue to name a few.
I will miss MY BOYS!! Chitown favorite.
