Code Black takes place in an Emergency Room in Los Angeles where underfunding and understaffing pile huge pressures on its staff. The cast includes Marcia Gay Harden, Raza Jaffrey, Bonnie Somerville, Melanie Chandra, William Allen Young, Harry Ford, Benjamin Hollingsworth, and Luis Guzman.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. I would really like for CODE BLACK to return for a second season!! It is very pretty well done IMO, and gives a fair representation of a busy ER, stress endured by the staff, and the tough decisions having to be made minute to minute. Ms. Harden and the cast are excellent and play their parts extremely well. The essence of the reality of life and death has been well captured! Please bring CB back!!!
I didn’t know if I would like this show but gave it a chance and got hooked on it recorded all of them. Hope they renew it.
