A familiar face is returning to Criminal Minds. Recently, it was announced Shemar Moore will guest star on the season 12 finale of the CBS TV series.
Moore, who plays Derek Morgan on the crime drama, left the series as a regular cast member in season 11. The cast also includes Joe Mantegna, Matthew Gray Gubler, A.J. Cook, Kirsten Vangsness, Aisha Tyler, Adam Rodriguez, and Paget Brewster.
The season 12 finale of Criminal Minds is set to debut on May 10th. CBS has not yet announced whether the show will be renewed for a 13th season or not.

LOS ANGELES – March 16, 2017 – Shemar Moore will return to CRIMINAL MINDS to guest star in the series’ 12th season finale, Wednesday, May 10 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Moore, an original cast member from 2005-2016 (251 episodes), will reprise his role as Derek Morgan.
In the episode, Morgan brings the BAU a lead in the case against serial killer and escaped convict Mr. Scratch, who has wreaked havoc on the team all season.
CRIMINAL MINDS stars Joe Mantegna, Paget Brewster, Matthew Gray Gubler, A.J. Cook, Aisha Tyler, Kirsten Vangsness, Adam Rodriguez and Damon Gupton. Mark Gordon, Erica Messer and Breen Frazier are executive producers for ABC Studios in association with CBS Television Studios.”

I am so happy that Shemar Moore is returning but the show will still not be good without the return of Thomas Gibson. Thomas and Shemar make “Criminal Minds”such a great show.
The show is not the same without Shemar Moore. I am delighted to hear that he is returning. I wish him well in his career and hope he gets to play the roles he wants.
I’ve watched criminal minds from the start but I’ve found it hard to watch this season because I just can’t take to Adam Rodriguez and Damon Gupton It’s just not the same without Shemar and Thomas plus I don’t agree that AJ and Kirsten should get less money Why shouldn’t they. They work just as hard as the rest of the cast
I would love to see Shemar Moore back in the show, but I have to say with the unequal pay issue for the two ladies, I can’t say I will support the show if they leave because they are not getting equal pay.
I always make sure that if I’m not going to be home on Wednesday night’s on time to watch my Criminal Minds I Have my DVR set to record every episode, For Wednesday night’s I love my old and my new Criminal Minds. Just wished you could bring back hotch and Morgan I miss them both and I miss seeing little Jack Hotch’ s son. But any ways I love Criminal Minds anyways. Keep them coming please don’t stop them just put Morgan back in there with his fine self..
I have run home every Wednesday night in time to watch Criminal Minds for YEARS! Once Paget and Shemar were gone, the cast became stale and lost all the love and luster i cared about. The sexy series used to be relatable with their intense love for each other. Now, it;s dull and uninspiring. All the shared back stories are gone and i do not get a sense of their family anymore.
