Don’t worry, Deadwood fans. HBO boss Casey Bloys says the follow-up movie is happening, Deadline reports.
Created by David Milch, the historical drama took place in 1870s South Dakota. The cast included Ian McShane, Timothy Olyphant, Molly Parker, Jim Beaver, and John Hawkes. The series was cancelled in 2006 after three seasons.
During a recent Television Critics Association panel, Bloys said Milch is currently writing the Deadwood movie script:
David is writing the script. We haven’t read it yet. I imagine it will be very good.”
What do you think? Are you a fan of Deadwood? Are you excited about the upcoming movie?
I have always been a fan of westerns and this seemed to be what I supposed it was really like, a very hard life and raw.
