The ABC TV show about what happens in the future apparently doesn’t have one. FlashForward has been cancelled after one season.
FlashForward begins as the world’s population blacks out for 137 seconds and they “flash forward” to see visions of their lives six months in the future. The series’ ensemble cast includes Joseph Fiennes, John Cho, Jack Davenport, Zachary Knighton, Peyton List, Dominic Monaghan, Brian F. O’Byrne, Courtney B. Vance, Sonya Walger, and Christine Woods.
The series debuted in September and attracted a 4.0 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 12.47 million viewers. With a lot of buzz, it seemed like ABC had a hit. For week two, the ratings dropped to a still very respectable 3.7 and 10.73 million.
But then viewership just kept falling, hitting a low of a 2.1 in the key demo and just 7.1 million viewers. Then, ABC pulled the series for three months. The spin was that they would relaunch FlashForward after the Olympics.
The network gave the return a significant amount of promotion but it didn’t help. FlashForward’s ratings were even worse and they just kept dropping. They’ve gotten so bad that The CW has been beating them in the demo.
To no surprise, ABC has cancelled FlashForward after one season of 20 episodes. The series finale will air in two weeks, on May 27th.

This was an excellent show. It did NOT deserve to be cancelled. I found it hard to believe they kept V (which I do also like) over this, and it seems like V might be headed downhill as well. Come on, give it one more chance, ABC! Or SOMEONE!

I think that FlashForward is one the best TV series in the World, I want to see at least 4

I hate that flashforward was cancelled! It was the greatest show ever!!! Please, please bring it back ASAP! Please! Please! Not fair! Who said it didn’t have any ratings…. there is no way! This is the best show! Please bring it back!
I thought Flashforward was one of the best TV series… ever. There was something there for EVERYONE whether it was the drama that pulled you in or constant scifi “what if” debate or the action, everyone I know who wached it was pulled closer and closer till they were dying to see the next episode. ABC PLEASE COMPLETE THIS SHOW!!!
Flashforward was the best show on, especially on Thur nights. Along with V, I really enjoyed Flashforward on ABC. It is totally wrong to cancel this show without a conclusion. There is just too many shows geared toward the younger, yuppie groups. It’s like it doesn’t matter if your not into these types of shows. Come on and bring Flashfoward back. It is a really good show. And hey, please don’t cancel V.
PLease reconsider this show…there should be something done about this…let it go to another channel under the abc conglomerate or something. u people did the same thing to Daybreak another great show. TV nowadays is going down the crapper, that is why cable networks are winning the ratings stuff…ABC is Notorious for doing this, letting the viewer get into a series just enough then pulling it. They cancel this after 1 season but they let Lost go for 7?
i think it should come back because you cant make a show never having an ending it’s stupid you have to air the second season then bring it to a close thats only fair screw the ratings they were fine to begin with leave it alone thats whats wrong with this world rating politics and such just give us enjoyment in life and entertainment thats whats needed
I love the show, it needs a second chance for sure. When it took time off, I lost track of it as did many others I know. Bring it back!!!!! Please?
