TV show description:
This thriller TV show is based on the Turkish television series titled Suskunlar and revolves around friendship, love, revenge and the moral dilemma of how far one will go in the pursuit of justice.
In the series, five best friends have a dark secret they thought was buried 25 years ago, but they soon discover that they can’t hide their past forever.
Jackson Brooks (David Lyons) is a successful attorney who seems to have it all. He’s engaged to his boss, Marina (Claire van der Boom), and he’s on the fast track to becoming partner at his firm. His world is turned upside down when his long-lost childhood friends unexpectedly reappear after 25 years.
Years ago, Jackson, Gil Harris (Michael Raymond-James), Shawn Cook (Larenz Tate), and Boots (Derek Phillips) always stuck together, like brothers. They spent their boyhood summers in the small town of Dalton, Texas, swimming in the quarry, shooting bottle rockets and doing everything they could to mine the fun out of small-town life.
But their idyllic world turned chaotic one fateful summer afternoon. A well-intentioned and heroic attempt to save their friend Jessie West (Bre Blair) from her alcoholic mother ultimately cost the 13-year-old boys nine months at Quitman Youth Detention Facility. Their lives were changed forever.
Now 25 years later, the nightmare of the worst nine months of their lives has resurfaced. A mystery even deeper than their buried past is uprooted. The brotherhood must now band together to right the wrongs of their shared past. It’s a journey that will push the limits of their loyalty and ignite in them an unquenchable thirst for revenge.
Other characters include Detective Liz Winters (Deidrie Henry), Warden Ray Carroll (Conor O’Farrell) and Terry Bausch (Demetrius Grosse).
Episode #10 — She Sang Hymns Out of Tune
The group pull together for their final chance at vengeance and no one emerges unscathed.
First aired: June 5, 2016.
What do you think? Do you like the Game of Silence TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season?
So upset this great show is over, riveting and captivating storyline, I need it to come back. At least it should be picked up by another network—any network, just bring it back!
I loved the show and was upset it ended.
Terry
This should be renewed or optioned to another network as it was just hitting its stride, and left too many unanswered questions.
It is ridiculous that The Game if Silence will be cancelled. My husband and I watched all episodes and this damn net work cancels s great show like this. From the action, to the great actors and excellent story li e,you dare to leave people hanging like this. I have no we seen something so stupid. Don’t you give a damn about the viewing audience?? Why don’t you pole people from 30-65 and see what kind of numbers you come up with. It’s ridiculous that you would include ages ranging from 18 yrs. old. Give this another try or people… Read more »
NBC really, why are you canceling such a good show?
Never should have been cancelled. One of best series I have seen in a long time. I will not get involved in another series after this
It should be renewed, we looked forward to each episode, at least finish the story
You just got to let Game of Silence have a second season , instead of leaving it just like that, not knowing what happened
I love this show. I hate that they cancel a show that is just getting started. It makes me not want to start watching anything. You have to give them more than 1 season.
TV shows seem to be cancelled before they even have a chance to “gain” an audience. This makes me sick- just started watching and was going to have my husband watch too as I knew he would like it, to learn there won’t even be a finale- so now will have to stop watching altogether before I get too wrapped up in it. This is another good reason to wait until a series hits Netflix- at least that way we will know if we get to see a series finale or are left high and dry.
This is why NBC is losing on network television, they have cancelled their two best shows in the last few years! Revolution, and now Game of silence! CBS has been the top dog for so long, and then NBC finally gets a couple of shows to compete, and they cancel them before they even begin! LOL
Love this show. Please do not cancel. The story should be completed!!
Why is it every time I like a show(series) it gets cancelled it’s just NOT FAIR!! please DON’T CANCEL we love this show.
OMG, you can’t cancel this show! I love the actors, the characters & everything about it. I don’t believe it has low ratings, your #’s have to be wrong! The finale was chilling & made you instantly want to find out what happens in see the next season! Dont leave us hanging!!
I love this show (Game of silence) please renew..
Please renew game of silence!!
