A while back, WGN America cancelled its original programming — series including Outsiders and Underground — in advance of Tribune Media’s now-dead acquisition by Sinclair. While Tribune shops its local stations and WGN America to other prospective buyers, the cable network has picked up a few series, which first ran in other countries. Enter the Gone TV show. If it is a success on WGN America, will it be picked up for another season overseas and in the US? Will Gone be cancelled or renewed for season two? Stay tuned.

A WGN America crime drama, Gone stars Chris Noth, Leven Rambin, Danny Pino, Andy Mientus, and Tracie Thoms, with Kelly Rutherford, Jordan Bridges, Christopher O’Shea, and Lee Tergese recurring in the first season. The procedural centers on Kit “Kick” Lannigan (Rambin), who survived a high-profile child-abduction case, and the man who saved her, FBI Agent Frank Novak (Noth). Now, because of her unique insight and post-kidnapping training, Frank has recruited Kick for his new task force focusing on abductions and missing persons.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.
