Is The Great Indoors ending for good? Recently, CBS released new details for the TV show’s upcoming season one, and possibly series, finale.
The sitcom follows an adventurous magazine reporter (Joel McHale) whose world is turned upside down when the magazine goes online-only and he’s assigned to head the digital department. The cast also includes Stephen Fry, Susannah Fielding, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Shaun Brown, Christine Ko, and Chris Williams.
CBS has not yet announced if The Great Indoors will return for a second season or not. The show’s ratings are decent. So far, season one is averaging a 1.48 rating in the 18-49 demo and 7.235 million viewers. However, those numbers may be skewed because the series follows The Big Bang Theory.
We’ve asked viewers if CBS should renew The Great Indoors, and so far 71% of votes think it should get a second season. Nevertheless, the season finale of The Great Indoors debuts on May 8th at 9: 30 p.m. ET/PT.

What do you think? Do you watch The Great Indoors? Do you want a second season?
I think the show has potential, but it needs time to develop some obvious story lines. Cheers had horrible ratings its first season, but NBC stuck with it and it turned into one of the best sitcoms of all time. I’m not saying Great Indoors is in the same class as Cheers, but I do think it could grow on everyone if given a chance and the characters have time to grow.
This show needs to be cancelled it is just awful
Joel McHale is funny, give it more time, think of all the hits that the weren’t a hit right away ! !
