Good news for Grimm fans. Deadline reports NBC has renewed the drama for a sixth season.
The series is currently in the middle of its fifth season.
Inspired by Grimms’ Fairy Tales, Grimm stars David Giuntoli as Nick Burkhardt, a homicide detective who battles against supernatural forces. The series also stars Russell Hornsby, Silas Weir Mitchell, Reggie Lee, Sasha Roiz, Bree Turner, and Claire Coffee.
The renewal is a little bit surprising. So far, ratings for season six have been middling at best, with an average of .91 in the 18-49 demo and around 3.97 million viewers.
From NBC exec Jennifer Salke:
We absolutely love what our producers and cast have accomplished over the past five seasons. They have created a whole new world of creatures and have a truly devoted fan base. We can’t wait to see what comes next.”
What do you think? Do you watch Grimm? Are you glad it’s been renewed?

I like watching the show I have to dvr it cause I am usually busy on Friday night and I get to skip the comercials that way LOL
I love this show! I do not want to see it cancelled. NBC doesnt offer shows i like to watch but i love this show. Id be really disappointed to lose this show. If this show is cancelled, i would hope they would sell the rights to someone who will pick it up and continue it.
A very fun series to watch. The storylines are endless and it would be very disappointing to lose this show.. I can’t believe a better time slot would not increase viewership. Please don’t be hasty pulling this show..
We are thrilled Grimm has been picked up for a 6th season! Dedicated fans since day 1, we truly love the cast, the creatures, the atmosphere and the mysterious world that has been revealed to exist in Portland Oregon! 😀
Love the show! Our daughter & family lives in Portland near one of the parks commonly used for filming so we have been able to watch filming – the production crew has always been thoughtful and welcoming! We love to see familiar places but MOST OF ALL the actors are terrific and the story interesting!
This show has hard core fans and has a different view than most average shows/ storylines…keep this show!!
HUGE Grimm fan. Absolutely love Grimm, it’s character’s, storylines and time slot PLEASE don’t cancel Grimm. PLEASE!
Love this show! Thanks for renewing!
Definitely one of my favorite, if not my very favorite, tv shows of all time!
This would be my hardest show to lose. Been there from day one. Recorded more then watched live, but love the night, pace, cast and storylines. Please keep for ever.
So excited to see Nick and the crew coming back.
GRIMM is my favorite show on NBC, folllowed closely by BLACKLIST, BLINDSPOT and LAW AND ORDER/SVU. I am 71 years old and TV is the favorite past time for my wife (68) and me. Thanks for renewing these series. We always prefer scripted shows, never those reality shows.
I love, love, love Grimm. Three of my co-workers love the show too and we range in age from 36 – 67. Neither of us are into supernatural creatures but we all sincerely enjoy Grimm. Anything is possible these days including Wesen, LOL.
Please, please, please stop assuming only young adults watch Grimm. I’m 66 years young, and along with many, many family, friends, and co-workers we LOVE And are loyal fans of Grimm and every monster associated with him. Learning of another season, truly makes our day. Thank you NBC, you were always the best of the (3) networks (smile).
