The series tells the story of Cullen Bohannon (Anson Mount) and his work on America’s first transcontinental railroad.

The last seven episodes of “Hell on Wheels” is the end of the line for Cullen Bohannon (Anson Mount) and his work on America’s first transcontinental railroad. The final push to finish brings with it a reckoning for Bohannon and the men standing in his path: the bloodthirsty Swede (Christopher Heyerdahl); the mercenary Chang (Byron Mann); and the rapacious Thomas Durant (Colm Meaney). Bohannon contends with corruption, greed and murder as he leads the trek to complete the final stages of the building of the railroad from the Central Pacific through the Sierras and across the Utah desert to Promontory Point. While the railroad’s completion is certain, who and what will survive when the golden spike is finally planted remains in question — with no one more at risk than Cullen Bohannon.

Hell On Wheels has been by far the best series I have ever watched.
I will be watching the final show, though sad to see it end. Cullen Bohannon is definitely my favorite, and will be watching for whatever else he’s a part of. Thank you for such a great show!
Cullen and Eva are my faves, but many good actors on this show.

I hate to see this go. Gave something to look forward to on Sat. night. I hope Anson Mount will be grabbed up by Hollywood. They need a bit hunky guy like Mount. He has been amazing. I do hope it ends on a happy note for him as his life has been filled with much tragedy.
I love the show…hate to see it go, but its better now than later..leave on a good ending
I have been a faithful fan of this show and hate to see it end! The writing has produced characters who are deep and realistic. Please bring it back!!!!

I would hope that AMC would keep following the characters they have done a good job of making them believable.

This is our only never-miss show. You put on the bad joke named “Preacher”, and cancel “Hell on Wheels”? You need new programmers.
