Marti Perkins won’t have to worry about how to pay for another year at Lancer University. Hellcats has been cancelled after one season on The CW.
Based on the book Cheer: Inside the Secret World of College Cheerleaders, Hellcats revolves around a pre-law student (Aly Michalka) who must join her university’s cheerleader team to win a scholarship to stay in school. The show also features Ashley Tisdale, Gail O’Grady, Heather Hemmens, Matt Barr, Robbie Jones, and Sharon Leal.
The started off the season back in early September with a 1.2 rating in the 18-49 demographic, a 2.1 rating in the 18-34 female demo and about three million viewers.

Unfortunately, those numbers started to slide pretty quickly and late last month, Hellcats fell as low as a 0.4 in the 18-49 viewers, a 0.7 in the young female demo and fewer than a million viewers.
While it’s not the lowest-rated series on The CW when you look at the season averages, it’s been in a decline all season and showed no signs of turning around.
As a result, the network has decided to cancel Hellcats. All the 22 episodes of the series have aired with the de facto series finale running last night.

I just found out about Hellcats two days ago and I already finished the first season. I’m so upset it stopped airing. 🙁 I WISH HELLCATS WOULD COME BACK… Don’t make me have to read the book lol.
Honestly I just found this series a few weeks ago and I’ve already finished this season. It made me extremely sad and upset to find the show is not continuing. I think it should definitely come back on ! It just ended so poorly…. We need to know what happens next!
PLEASE BRING HELLCATS BACK. Im begging. This show is amazing. I hadnt even heard of it until i saw it on the cw website yesterday. Ive already finished season 1. It was great. I need to know what happens. Please give it another chance. Just advertise it more. Use social media to your advantage.

I loved the show hellcats me and my aunt would watch it everyday I just finished re watching season 1 I really wished there would be a season to I couldn’t wait to see what would have happened to Marti and Dan next. I also can’t believe that reds ex wife would have fired vannsa. Iknoo its been 5 years since this show aried but I would really be excited to see what would have happen next! I watched this show every week when it aired. I just couldnt get enough. Even now after 5 years of the show ending. I still wish it came back. I just finished watching the entire season for the second time on my amazon firestick. I remembered how much i loved watching it. I think the movie should continue because so far every thousands of shows that I have watched, its one of the best. I loved it and it was so great. I don’t know why people didn’t like it but I guess am not them but at least, it was a great production.

Seriously, no second season. I just watched all season one episodes, and they were good. Please bring it back. Try a different broadcast to air it on because I didn’t hear about it until now. I watched supernatural on CW, and i saw the Hellcats. Let me tell you I fell in Love watching the entire season 1. Do more advertising to bring it out, because i guarantee everybody haven’t heard about it yet.
I’m fricken pissed! How dare you guys!? So worried about ratings.. Like why? People enjoy the show, especially me. He’ll, I don’t even like cheerleading but this shows the bomb. Here’s an idea, bring it back. Make billboards and commercials stating it will be back on and running in no time. People will watch, probably more than last time. Personally Ii think it wouldn’t have been cancelled if it were on another network such as ABC family. The CW isn’t a big network so it doesn’t draw attention. Most people don’t even know when ANTM airs and that’s their biggest money maker.
