TVGuide is reporting that NBC has unceremoniously cancelled Las Vegas after five seasons on the air.
Las Vegas debuted on September 22, 2003 and was touted as actor James Caan’s first series regular role on television. The Academy Award-nominated actor was cast as the Montecito casino’s Head of Security, ‘Big Ed’ Deline. Others in the cast have included Nikki Cox, Josh Duhamel, James Lesure, Vanessa Marcil, Molly Sims, and Marsha Thomason.
Caan left the series last year to return to his movie career and Cox was cut from the show in a cost-cutting move. Caan was replaced by Tom Selleck and it was hoped that the addition of the veteran TV actor would help revitalize the series. It didn’t and, coupled with the series’ move to Friday nights, the ratings dropped significantly.
Last year, Las Vegas was one of the earliest NBC shows to get a renewal notice. What a difference a year can make.
NBC has opted not to renew Las Vegas for season six. Unlike Friday Night Lights, Vegas apparently doesn’t warrant shopping to other possible outlets and fans of the series are left with a cliffhanger. The last two episodes aired last Friday and was first in the ratings for both hours, Unbeknownst to viewers at the time, it was likely the last time we’ll see the staff of the Montecito. Stay tuned! 
I decided not to watch the final episode… because I don’t want to ruin the entire series!!! ahhh@@@!!
I totally agree with all of you….my fiance and I just finished watching the series on DVD and were really annoyed with the ending. It would’ve been nice to see how things end.
I know what you all mean l have them all on dvd and really upset with the way it all finished…..I mean whats wrong with just doing a 2hr special and finish it off so everyone who watched can see how it finishes off,what with the baby,wedding and why was cooper not on the plane…………………..
i seen this show many many times and cant seem to pass it up every morning during the week on tnt!!! they needed to bring it back WE NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS NEXT THE FINALLY IS NOT A FINALLY IT DOESNT CLOSE ALL THE DOORS!!! AWESOMEST SHOW EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
im soo pissed! as if i began watching this show without knowing it got canceled and left me hanging…. this is everything thats wrong with NBC! arrghhh im not going to get over this! i really need to know what happened! i also noticed more chicks then guys watch this show.. right on 😉
Bring back the show. make a movie to rap it up.

Everybody is correct, they shouldn’t of left us hanging like that, I will never watch NBC again after what they did. I hope everyone will stand by me and have a don’t watch NBC strike until they have a season 6 with a proper ending. Some people don’t have lives and live threw there tv shows yah know…
am so annoyed, finally dug las vegas out of the cupboard to watch the whole lot and how can they leave it at that i mean come on at least give us a better end not a cliffhanger, i cant understand why it was stopped i thought it was pretty good, action, comedy, suspense ect ect BRING IT BACK GOD DAM U lol please 🙂
Make season 6 of las vegas I love the show and now NBC Cancels it what the **** do they think people do watch shows and they cancels them for what because they don’t like the shows no more that’s wrong make season 6 of las Vegas
