A&E has cancelled Longmire after three seasons. The cable channel issued a statement that said, “We would like to thank the phenomenal cast, crew and producers of Longmire, along with our partners at Warner Horizon, for their tireless work on three seasons of quality dramatic storytelling.”
Word is that Warner Horizon plans to shop the series to other outlets so a fourth season may still happen.
Longmire follows the life of a Wyoming county sheriff who’s returned to work following his wife’s demise. With the support of his family and co-workers, he solves cases and works to stay in office. The cast includes Robert Taylor, Katee Sackhoff, Bailey Chase, Adam Bartley, Cassidy Freeman, and Lou Diamond Phillips.

I agree with all who have said what a terrible decision it would be to cancel Longmire. The acting is superb; the writers are top notch; I and my wife sit glued to every episode and record each one to watch several times. Surely there are other shows on A and E that could be sacrificed instead of removing one of the absolute best dramas on television!!
I am extremely upset ove the decision of A & E to cancel Longmire.Finaly there is a show with amazing actors and writing and network with all its wisdom canceled.I am sure it must be a decision based on revenue,it always is.What a sad day and shame on you A & E.
Show can’t cost that much to make. It’s set in the country, no high dollar effects, what were they thinking?
I think we should boycott A&E!!!! I can’t believe that a this bs network cancelled this show! I really loved this show. This is a cable network that has lame reality shows!!! I hate this news!!!

Longmire is a very good show and if A&E cancels it We will have no other reason to watch their network. I can’t imagine any reason to cancel it. I’m sure the fan base is there.
I was so very upset when I commented earlier, that there were several mistakes in my spelling. I hope that someone is really giving the responses that loyal viewers are sending. As a older viewer, I want something other than all the personal dramas of personal family issues that should be left in private. Please bring Longmire back on this network or another network that the viewers would be able to see without having to purchase additional viewing programming.

Best show!! We are tired of all the “reality” shows on TV so we truly enjoyed LONGMIRE. If it isn’t renewed,we won’t be watching A&E anymore!!!!!
They tried it with SOA someone does not know what the public wants.
We need this show. Iam so tired of the junk being forced on the viewers. I will not look at any programing on this network agsin. The network could have let the currrnt storyline comr to a conclusion for your loyal viewers. Your netwotk suffer from the drop in viewers.

If A&E doesn’t pick it up for another season, then I don’t watch A&E! I hope some cable company has the good sense TO pick this show up. But….then and again, even cable never shows many great decisions about what they play! WE WANT LONGMIRE~~
