TV show description:
Set in Big Sky country, this thriller TV show is based on the Walt Longmire Mystery novels by best-selling author Craig Johnson.
Walt Longmire (Robert Taylor) is the charismatic, dedicated and unflappable sheriff of Absaroka County, Wyoming. Recently widowed, Longmire is a man who buries his pain behind a brave face and dry wit. He’s known for his manners, strength, and old-fashioned approach. His dedication to the law and his passion for the great West make him a desirable lawman.
Victoria ‘Vic’ Moretti (Katee Sackhoff) is the newest addition to the sheriff’s office. Leaving the homicide division in Philadelphia after five years, Vic is still adjusting to dealing with the locals in her new town. Her playful relationship with Longmire holds a deeper connection that allows her to be his most trusted deputy. Vic is out to prove she isn’t a rookie and to show she is capable and loyal.
Henry Standing Bear (Lou Diamond Phillips) is Walt’s lifelong best friend and a local bar owner. Henry is a handsome and charming Cheyenne who is fiercely protective of his tribe and serves as Walt’s go-between with the reservation. Being a business owner, he is comfortable with progress and modernity while maintaining a connection with his past, unlike his close friend.
Deputy Branch Connally (Bailey Chase) is a go-getter with blind confidence. He has political aspirations that often motivate him more than solving cases. His resentment toward Walt’s outdated approach further inspire him to run for sheriff, especially after feeling that he is picking up his boss’s slack. He wants to bring Absaroka County into the 21st century, and he longs to update the sheriff’s station with the technology that other law enforcement agencies use.
Another deputy, The Ferg (Adam Bartley), is a big guy with the heart of a puppy dog. He is loyal, sweet, well-meaning and eager to please. A gifted fly-fisherman who knows how to hunt and fix things, The Ferg has a long way to go as an investigator. Even though he may not be a perfect fit for the job, he is no coward.
Cady Longmire (Cassidy Freeman) is Walt’s only child and an attorney with dreams of the big city. After the death of her mother, Cady has taken it upon herself to help her father get his life back together. She is keenly aware of his imperfections and is the only one not afraid to point them out. Her straight talk and sense of humor connect this father-daughter duo even though they both tend to drive the other crazy.

What do you think? Are you a fan of the Longmire TV series? Do you think it should have ended or been renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?
It should not have been cancelled. There aren’t many decent shows on TV these days and this was a good one. Hope they don’t leave us hanging on the outcome of the shots fired at the end season three. Maybe some other will station pick them up and keep the quality of the show the same or better.
I think A&E should listen to the viewers if they have any left.
Seriously?! Well I can now drop A & E frin my favorite channel list as this is the only show they still had worth watching. I am so sick of networks thinking everybody loves their so called “reality” shows.
Longmire is best show on tv! A&E are crazy and hope another network sees value in millions of viewers! So sad
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don’t cancel Longmire, I love this show, people are sick to death of those stupid reality shows! Longmire is a well written drama with enough twists and turns to make keep tuning in every week. Done with A & E
A&E what were you thinking !? Apparently you weren’t !
Longmire being canceled is slap in the face of the viewers who liked this show and don’t like the other crap A&E airs. I’m done with A&E. They seem to like to cancel shows the public likes
What is the matter with you people? Who controls your programming, some 14 year old boy who digs the trashy reality shows that actually have no connection with reality? Cancelling Longmire is one of the dumbest decisions you’ve made. Forget A&E for good TV shows any more.
I’m really disappointed Longmire has been cancelled. It wasn’t a run of the mill drama which is likely the reason. I hope it will show up on another network as it’s definitely worth saving.
This cancellation of Longmire proves A&E is not cognizant , nor do they care about this series’ immense popularity with the adult viewing audience. The ridiculously stupid, empty reality shows televised truly reflect a networks ideals.
First A&E cancelled “The Glades” now they cancel “Longmire”. Are they TRYING to chase away viewers? They seem to cancel shows after a relatively short time. All A&E is showing now are reality shows, which I and many others consider junk. I will never invest time in watching an A&E TV show again.
So sad. This was a great show. They cancel an interesting fun series and put on reality shows that require no brains. I for one will not watch A&E any longer. The acting is great and close to true life. Hopefully, another station will pick it up.
I can’t believe they canceled Longmire, it is a great show shame on A&E.
FIRST IT WAS THE GLADES NOW LONGMIRE TWO GOOD SHOWS. WE ARE DISAPPOINTED WITH A&E. WE HOPE ANOTHER NETWORK WILL PICK UP LONGMIRE.
This is terrible!! This was such a good show that had a great cast, written well, exciting enough but not vulgar — come on, bring it back! Plus you leave us in the lurch about who killed who between Branch and his Dad!!!
