TV show description:
Set in Big Sky country, this thriller TV show is based on the Walt Longmire Mystery novels by best-selling author Craig Johnson.
Walt Longmire (Robert Taylor) is the charismatic, dedicated and unflappable sheriff of Absaroka County, Wyoming. Recently widowed, Longmire is a man who buries his pain behind a brave face and dry wit. He’s known for his manners, strength, and old-fashioned approach. His dedication to the law and his passion for the great West make him a desirable lawman.
Victoria ‘Vic’ Moretti (Katee Sackhoff) is the newest addition to the sheriff’s office. Leaving the homicide division in Philadelphia after five years, Vic is still adjusting to dealing with the locals in her new town. Her playful relationship with Longmire holds a deeper connection that allows her to be his most trusted deputy. Vic is out to prove she isn’t a rookie and to show she is capable and loyal.
Henry Standing Bear (Lou Diamond Phillips) is Walt’s lifelong best friend and a local bar owner. Henry is a handsome and charming Cheyenne who is fiercely protective of his tribe and serves as Walt’s go-between with the reservation. Being a business owner, he is comfortable with progress and modernity while maintaining a connection with his past, unlike his close friend.
Deputy Branch Connally (Bailey Chase) is a go-getter with blind confidence. He has political aspirations that often motivate him more than solving cases. His resentment toward Walt’s outdated approach further inspire him to run for sheriff, especially after feeling that he is picking up his boss’s slack. He wants to bring Absaroka County into the 21st century, and he longs to update the sheriff’s station with the technology that other law enforcement agencies use.
Another deputy, The Ferg (Adam Bartley), is a big guy with the heart of a puppy dog. He is loyal, sweet, well-meaning and eager to please. A gifted fly-fisherman who knows how to hunt and fix things, The Ferg has a long way to go as an investigator. Even though he may not be a perfect fit for the job, he is no coward.
Cady Longmire (Cassidy Freeman) is Walt’s only child and an attorney with dreams of the big city. After the death of her mother, Cady has taken it upon herself to help her father get his life back together. She is keenly aware of his imperfections and is the only one not afraid to point them out. Her straight talk and sense of humor connect this father-daughter duo even though they both tend to drive the other crazy.

What do you think? Are you a fan of the Longmire TV series? Do you think it should have ended or been renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?
I am very disappointed that Longmire has been canceled. I remain hopeful that the studio will find another home for the show. It seems funny but I wonder if they take into account the number of people who do not watch on network TV, but view over the internet or purchase the show, and download to watch later?
Sincerely,
Disappointed
Unbelievable. Good, interesting television gets canceled and reality and idol type shows remain. Good scripted TV wish hard to find. I look forward to NCIS, FARGO, LONGMIRE, GRIMM, DALLAS, CASTLE and CRIMINAL MINDS. All usually leave you on the edge of your seat during each show. Take the show to a network that would really care about it.
This is too good a show to cancel. Everything about the show had quality. I am so disappointed by this decision. PLEASE DO NOT CANCEL.
what numb nutz canceled this great tv show ?
Unbelievable!!! What will it take to have LONGMIRE to continue?? I actually thought of paying the big bucks for cable to see this show. I watched the first two on streaming, then bought season 3. This show is a breath of fresh air in all aspects.
I’m truly upset that Longmire was cancelled seems that sex shows are more important .
My whole family except for small children watched this show and for it to be cancelled is sad,I hope another station picks up the show
No I do not think Longmire should have been cancelled. Why is it that when you have a really good and decent show it is cancelled. This show has a good storyline and is one the whole family can sit down and watch. Why does all shows have to be geared toward the “younger” viewers. Do the “older” viewers not count.
really going to miss it. I wish reruns where more available.
DONT CANCEl PLEASE:(
I have been a fan of Walt Longmire since the first novel, and loved the TV show as well. Craig Johnson’s intelligent writing and interwoven stories were translating well to television. We have a group of supporters who get together for the first and last episode of each season. Can’t believe A&E has taken a pass. PLEASE rethink this, or let’s hope another network will continue this excellent series!!!!!!!!!!
Cancelled? Seriously? One of the few quality shows on A&E that does not focus on “Real Life” anything. As a librarian I can not keep these books on the shelves. I can only hope that another network picks up this series and runs with it.
I’m boycotting A&E if they don’t bring back this show. ‘Longmire’ is the most interesting show on TV in years!
I grew up on westerns on TV and at the movies. I watched cowboy movies every Sunday as a kid. Longmire brings back a lot of good memories!! It would be a shame to cancel it!!
Please do not cancel. We HAVE to find out what happened and continue the story.
I would like A&E to reconsider renewing Longmire. It’s my family’s favorite show.
My whole family enjoys this show. There aren’t many shows for all ages these days. If A&E won’t bring it back, please, please, someone else pick it up!
Great Show, Bring it back
