Fam will debut on Thursday, January 10th at 9:30 PM and will take over the timeslot once Murphy Brown has finished for the season. Man with a Plan will return on Monday, February 4th at 8:30 PM, replacing Happy Together on the schedule. Murphy Brown’s season was set at 13 episodes and the network opted not to order additional installments of Happy Together.
The CBS press release notes that a premiere date for the fourth season of Life in Pieces will be announced at a later date. The network renewed the family comedy for a new season of 13 episodes back in May.

“Man with a Plan” Returns Monday, Feb. 4 at 8:30 PM
CBS today announced the comedy portion of its winter 2019 scheduling moves, including the series premiere of FAM and the return of MAN WITH A PLAN.
CBS will premiere the new comedy FAM on Thursday, Jan. 10 (9:30-10:00 PM, ET/PT) after MURPHY BROWN completes its season order. FAM stars Nina Dobrev and Tone Bell in a comedy about a woman whose vision of a perfect life with her adoring fiancé and his wonderful parents is radically altered when her 16-year-old, out-of-control half-sister unexpectedly comes to live with her. As the family Clem (Dobrev) chose and the family she has blend, Clem realizes that this new happy fam may be the perfection she’s always been seeking. Odessa Adlon, Brian Stokes Mitchell and Sheryl Lee Ralph also star.
Also, MAN WITH A PLAN will return for its third season on Monday, Feb. 4 (8:30-9:00 PM, ET/PT) after HAPPY TOGETHER completes its season run. MAN WITH A PLAN stars Golden Globe Award winner Matt LeBlanc in a comedy about an old-school guy confronting the modern challenges of parenting, marriage and family. Liza Snyder, Kevin Nealon, Stacy Keach, Grace Kaufman, Matthew McCann, Hala Finley, Matt Cook and Kali Rocha also star.
The season premiere of LIFE IN PIECES will be announced at a later date.

FAM is a great show also !! I’m watching both because I want them both renewed for another season … These new shows NEVER have a chance if you guys don’t give them a chance. !!! You didn’t know you would like MAN WITH A PLAN till you gave it a chance !!! LIFE IN PIECES has been renewed and they probably are saving it for the 2019 SPRING/ SUMMER LINE UP !!!

Looks like CBS is doing the same stupid thing with Life in Pieces as they did with Rules of Engagement. Both are/were very good shows that CBS trolled trying to shove inadequate shows ,hoping fans would watch. They never did which messed up Rules of Engagement.

I agree! Life In Pieces is a phenomenal show. The creator is an absolute genius. It is so witty and leaves the viewers in hysterical laughter. PLEASE bring it back ASAP!

I am soooo tired of waiting for Season 4 of Life in Pieces!! Bring it back already!! I can only watch the first three seasons I purchased on Amazon so many times! It’s literally the only current sitcom I watch!
Why not watch FAM and MAN WITH A PLAN until they release it?? You probably would like them !! It if people do not start watching these SITCOMS TV is going to the dogs !!! It will have NO SITCOMS !!! It will be game shows or reality shows !!!! Start tuning in or LIFE will be doomed next season too !!!! Pay attention to why these stations do this schedule like this !!! If viewers aren’t tuning in– you screw yourself !!!!
Life in pieces is our family’s favorite show. I’m frustrated that it’s been cloak and dagger. Just announce a premier date and be done with it. It deserves a full season. Lots of trash has been in its place.
I will watch Man with a Plan and Life in Pieces. I will NOT be watching the shows you have sandwiched around them. I will, as I have been all season, do a lot of recording and jumping from network to network. It has been an exhausting season not being able to rely on my preferred shows. In other words, you can’t make me watch something I don’t want to see just because one of my favorite shows comes on before or after. really should cancel Murphy Brown that was a big mistake renewing that so fast and quickly! Should not even talk about man with the plan and Murphy Brown in the same sentence.
Murphy Brown was pretty good years ago. The come back Murphy Brown program is a disaster and shouldn’t have been renewed.
Kind of like the reboot of Roseanne (now “The Conners” since Barr was banned from the show for being a racist troll). The old show was good. The new one sucks.
