FOX has given the greenlight for another new series for the 2014-15 season — Red Band Society. The cast includes Octavia Spencer, Dave Annable, Brian “Astro” Bradley, Ciara Bravo, Griffin Gluck, Zoe Levin, Rebecca Rittenhouse, Charlie Rowe and Nolan Sotillo.
Here’s the information that we have so far from the network:
RED BAND SOCIETY – ABC Studios/Amblin Television
· EPs: Steven Spielberg, Margaret Nagle (“Boardwalk Empire”) – she wrote the pilot, Justin Falvey (“The Americans,” “Falling Skies”), Darryl Frank (“The Americans,” “Falling Skies”) and Sergio Aguero (“No Reservations,” “Y Tu Mama Tambien”)
· Director: Alfonso Gomez-Rejon (GLEE, “American Horror Story”)
· Description: A diverse group of teenagers become unlikely allies and friends in this unconventional and, at times, comic high school drama, set in the pediatric wing of a hospital. This is one of the most ambitious and unorthodox shows in anyone’s development this year. It represents a completely inspired way into young soap, a comedic one-hour, a hospital show, and a (surrogate) family drama.
No word on how many episodes have been ordered or when the series will air. We should know more in the coming week.
What do you think? Does this show sound like a hit or a flop? Will you check it out?
now this sounds like it will be a winner……a good heartwarming show which will have a nice blend of drama , comedy & I’m sure will pull on ur heartstrings 🙂
