The 10-episode first season of the Roadies TV show premiered on Showtime, June 26, 2016. Executive producer Winnie Holzman talks about the possibilities a second season of Roadies might bring. Holzman previously worked on TV series including Huge, which was cancelled after one season on ABC Family (now Freeform), Once and Again, which was cancelled after one season on ABC, and My So-Called Life which was also cancelled after one season on the Alphabet Network.
A musical comedy drama series from Cameron Crowe, the Roadies TV series has yet to be renewed for season two. The cast includes: Luke Wilson, Carla Gugino, Imogen Poots, Rafe Spall, Keisha Castle-Hughes, Peter Cambor, Colson Baker, and Ron White.

Are you thinking ahead to future seasons? Would this group of people stay with this band for multiple tours?
HOLZMAN: I think that will be up to Cameron and the conversations we have with Showtime, but we feel very elastic about it. We feel like we could stay with this band and continue. You could have it that a lot of these roadies end up on another tour. You could have it that they end up in another tour. I think it would be fun to mix it up. I can picture playing it out so many different ways, and I think that’s part of the fun of this show. You could keep this core group of roadies together, but you could have various things happen.
Here is more on the first season of the Roadies TV series, from Showtime:
The series gives an insider’s look at the reckless, romantic, funny and often poignant lives of a committed group of roadies who live for music and the de facto family they’ve formed along the way. ROADIES chronicles the rock world through the eyes of music’s unsung heroes and pays homage to the backstage workers who put the show on the road while touring for the successful arena-level group, The Staton-House Band.

Yes. There should be more than one or even two seasons. This show should take it to the limit one more time.
Brandon, excellent. I love your comment “…take it to the limit one more time.” The show is awesome they better do a second season.
I agree, Take it to the limit and have Don Henley on Roadies. The producers could do a memorial to Glen Frey
Love this show. I would have then go on the solo tour.
Love this show. Why did they bring back Phil just to kill him off? Please bring these amazing characters back for another season!
I like this show very much and hope it’s renewed for a second season. I like the musicians they bring on and the fact that it’s differetnt from all other shows on TV.
Absolutely LOVE this ROADIES! N other show like it and we NEED this show. Sad to see the very awesome Ron White gone 🙁 He definitely added flare. LOVE the cast! perfect for their roles and terrific chemistry. The topic, the bands, the music, the music history along with the character stories lines are so enthralling. I came into the game late but have watched every show since. If I can’t catch it on the air date, I get it on Monday or Tuesday. PLEASE keep it alive!
Love love love the show. Learning about bands I’m unfamiliar with is very cool. Enjoy the dynamics of the characters.
I absolutely love the show Roadies. I am already mourning the end of the first season.
Me too!
Renew! Renew! Renew! This show makes me feel warm & nostalgic. I like the actors and find them believable. The lacing of music is so nice with the story lines.
I don’t watch a ton of TV and have never written an opinion one way or another until now. This show in my opinion is what TV should be about. It is the only TV show I’ve ever recorded and kept on my dvr to watch again and again. Crowe is fortunate to be one of those creative people who has a way to reach deep within all of us to touch something that we forgot was there. I know it doesn’t make money like the BS reality crap forced upon us for the last 15 years but it does… Read more »
