It’s the end of the road for Rush Hour. According to The Hollywood Reporter, CBS has cancelled the series after one season.
Based on the popular film franchise with Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker, Rush Hour stars Justin Hires as an LAPD detective who teams up with a detective from Hong Kong (Jon Foo). Wendie Malick, Aimee Garcia, and Page Kennedy also star.
Only seven episodes in, Rush Hour has not performed strongly in the ratings. So far, season one has received an average of .92 in the 18-49 demo and around 4.6 million viewers.
Hires confirmed the news on Twitter:
It's my unpleasant task to announce that Rush Hour is not being renewed for a second season.… https://t.co/9myYYDCLtC

What do you think? Have you been watching Rush Hour? Do you think it should’ve been renewed?
I actually enjoyed the show! How is it that 2 Broke Girls is still on and this show gets cancelled! I’m going to watch cable from now on!
I agree what are yhe ec executives thinking
This was a great show. You should have at LEAST finished airing the whole season, come on!!!! The actors portrayed the two roles perfectly in my opinion. I and my family LOVED the movies, and my mother and I both thought this new series was great!
There will be an episode on July 23rd. I ranted about them not giving a finale as well, but I checked the facebook page and it said a new episode on that date.
Oh no we just found this show, please don’t cancel it! Maybe Netflix or Hulu will pick it up.
I love this show what it wrong with you people this show should not b cancelled rush hour is a great show renew it

its unfortunate they cancel the show,
I am a huge fan of Jackie Chan and was not expecting to like this but i cannot wait for the next episode to come on. Its so good, I am from the UK and all my family watch it.
Please don’t canceled rush hour I really like that show thanks.
The only way I even became aware of this series was by tuning in expecting to find an episode of “Elementary”. How can you get accurate ratings information with such slapdash scheduling, minimum promotion, and only seven episodes? I remember reading that “The Big Bang Theory” had poor ratings for it’s first two seasons, and look how that turned out. I think CBS executives are too desperate for instant gratification.
I know, right? I was thinking the same thing about it! We tuned in first episode because of our love of the movies, and found it great – how do you expect, with as little promoting they did to let us know the series was coming out even, to be able to get appropriate ratings after so few episodes airing!
Are you kidding me with this?! The show has only been around like five minutes and it’s awesome … great action, characters, plot, comedy and even the cinematography is fresh and fast. So when other shows are kept around season after season as the network ‘waits for it to find its audience’ but stays devoted to the show, THIS ONE gets axes after just wh a t 7 episodes?! Sooooo very wrong. You can still fix this … undo the call … bad decision, rethink it and bring me back one of the few sows on TV that gives its… Read more »
Enjoyably show, but broadcast TV is floundering and dying. The old paradigm just does not work anymore, CBS expects every show to get 10 million viewers or more. Just too much selection these days, and better ways to watch. RIP CBS. Adapt or die.
Again CBS is not going to give an excellent series a chance. I don’t know who is making these decisions but this is a bad one. Rush Hour should be given a second season of say 13 episodes to see if ratings improve. Most people do not watch first run on TV anymore, they either watch online or use their DVRs.
Don’t cancel the show!!! It’s awesome!! The action, actors, and comedy are great!
Noooo!!! Don’t cancel the show!!! How am I suppose to get my Jon Foo fix if he’s gone !!! And also the show is good too !!!
I’m sad it’s canceled. I loved the action scenes. I was starting to like the character development. I would’ve love for the series to continue. The show was getting better with time. This show is better than many popular shows today.
