USA Network has pulled the trigged on Shooter. Deadline reports the network has cancelled the TV show after three seasons.
Based on the Stephen Hunter novel and 2007 film, the action drama centers on expert marksman Bob Lee Swagger (Ryan Phillippe), who is coaxed back into action for the most important mission of his lifetime. The cast also includes Omar Epps, Shantel VanSanten, Cynthia Addai-Robinson, and Jesse Bradford.
Currently in its third season, Shooter has dropped considerably in the ratings since it debuted in 2016. So far, season three is averaging a .19 rating in the 18-49 demo and 738,000 viewers. That’s a nearly 45% drop compared to season two.
Although USA Network has cancelled Shooter, there is still hope for the series. According to Deadline, producer Paramount Television is shopping the TV show around to other networks.

I would like it renewed. Thursday night was a bad choice. Sunday would be even worse. Put it on any other night and the ratings would go up.

Shooter is all about the good guys winning. Even though Bob Lee’s wife was killed he avenged her death. Everything he does is to help the world to rid it of evil. Please bring it back.
Intense show and the weaving in and out of the plot lines was great. Find another network! I got hooked on Shooter through Netflix. I am glad the wife is gone because that means the stories can only get more intense as Bob Lee fights corruption across the world! This show can go on for many seasons. Don’t leave us hanging . . . .

I absolutely hate that USA network has decided to cancel the shooter show. I love the show and watch it every week. I would personally be heartbroken if the show was completely canceled. Please bring back shooter season 4.

They have to keep Shooter going! The acting is superb, and it is the only show that we can hardly wait to see the next week!!! Action, action, action!!! Best show hands down!!!
