Per TrekMovie.com, Les Moonves says CBS All Access will release one episode a week, during the upcoming first season of its new live-action Star Trek TV show. According to the report, the latest project in the Star Trek franchise is on track for its planned January, 2017 premiere.
The newest Star Trek TV series hails from Bryan Fuller, Alex Kurtzman, and Rod Roddenberry, son of Star Trek creator, Gene Roddenberry.
As previously reported, the upcoming Star Trek will be set after the feature film Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country and before the Star Trek: The Next Generation TV show. The new Star Trek is said to be a seasonal anthology series. Shooting is expected to begin in Toronto, Canada, this fall.
