Switched at Birth: Season Five of Freeform Series Begins Filming

Switched at Birth is back in gear. Actors from the Freeform (formerly ABC Family) series have posted photos from the first day of filming season five.

The family drama was renewed for a fifth season back in October, a week before season four ended.

Series creator Lizzy Weiss posted a photo of the cast on set for the first episode of season five, which star Vanessa Marano retweeted.

Switched at Birth continues to be one of Freeform’s more popular series. Though, season four ratings for the series dropped slightly. Average viewership decreased from 1.42 million per episode in season three to 1.02 million in season four.

Freeform has yet to release the official premiere date for season five.

I want Bay and Emmett to get back together. I watched all 4 seasons on Netflix and now I can’t wait for season 5 to begin! Does anyone know when it starts?

I adore Switched at Birth. I want Bay & Emmett to get back together, and then, I want to watch them take on the art world and make babies.

Waiting patiently for season five to co.e on! We love it and would be devastated if it was to be cancelled. HURRY UP SWITCHED AT BIRTH!

I pray they renew. I watch two shows. This one and the Fosters. It will make me so sad if they cancel this show. It may be the only thing I look forward to some weeks.
