NBC‘s new Wednesday night series Taxi Brooklyn has an unusual premise — but sometimes that’s what it takes to become a hit show these days. How’s the series been doing in the ratings? Will it be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
Taxi Brooklyn follows Cat Sullivan (Chyler Leigh), a tough NYPD Detective who doesn’t let a demotion to foot patrol stop her from trying to find her father’s killer. She finds an unlikely ally in Leo Romba (Jacky Ido), a taxi driver from Marseille. The rest of the cast includes James Colby, Jose Zuniga, Jennifer Esposito, Bill Heck, Ally Walker, and Raul Casso.

This police series got off to a lackluster start at the end of June with the first episode drawing just a 1.0 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 5.34 million viewers. The ratings have gone up and down over the course of the season but have trended downward. Last week’s episode hit a new low with a 0.7 demo rating and just 4.42 million viewers.
Ordinarily, numbers like these would mean that a show would be cancelled outright. However, NBC licenses this show from EuropaCorp Television so their costs are lower. While it seems likely that NBC will cancel Taxi Brooklyn, EuropaCorp could potentially produce a second season and find another US outlet to air it.
But, what do you think? Do you like the Taxi Brooklyn TV show? Should it be cancelled or renewed for a second season? Would you watch it on another channel?
It is a very cute , refreshing show. Please keep it on. I am looking fwd to a season 2
Of course this show should not be cancelled, it’s unique with great and interesting characters a new twist on an old theme. But then again it’s on NBC so it’ll probably be cancelled because it doers well in the ratings but isn’t always the most politically correct. Good grief NBC, dare to be different!!!!! Still angry over cancelling “Crossing Lines” here in the US regardless on how well it’s doing globally…………Again, NBC, dare to be different!!!
We like this show, silly and fun. And, yes we would watch it on another channel. Love Leo and Cat!
Such a good show. Seems like a good show airs and then gets cancelled. What? Not enough sex, violence, and gore?
Love this show, please do not cancel it’s a good show.
I hope they keep it on. I really enjoy it.
I like this show. Please do not cancel. Different but a good show with lots of drama.
RENEW RENEW RENEW!! Not only do LOVE the cast (weird seeing Chyler in short short hair), love the quirky premise and quips. Please bring it back for a second season, I think it makes a great summer show. Look at Rookie Blue, ABC tried it in prime time didn’t quite work out, they moved it to summer show and it’s a hit. So keep it as a summer show and it’ll work.
Love this show, please continue with many more episodes. I look forward seeing this weekly show. !!
Great show, love the interactions between cast. Also good cop drama with a flair. Please renew.
I VOTE TO KEEP TAXI BROOKLYN ON FOR NEXT SEASON. IT IS A GREAT COP SHOW.
I do hope the show continues. It is the best cop show I have seen in a long time. The cast is great! I was born and raised in Brooklyn. Living in North Carolina now. Watching that show weekly has been good for the soul! Please continue writing . Great story lines as well as “real”. Thanks for the first season. Hope to see cat and Leo continue their work together.

I VOTE TO RENEW. ALTHOUGH THE CONCEPT OF A TAXI DRIVER WORKING CASES WITH THE POLICE IS NOT BELIEVABLE, THE TEAM OF LEO (TAXI DRIVER) AND CAT (COP) ARE CUTE TOGETHER. THIS SHOW IS ENTERTAINING.
I say RENEW ! Lynn and Bob
The quirkiness is what makes this show fun. Please renew.
