When ABC revived Roseanne for a 10th installment, the sitcom earned stellar Nielsen ratings, averaging a 3.49 in the 18-49 demo with 13.482 million viewers. During the 2017-18 television season, it dwarfed the performances of both Grey’s Anatomy and Dancing with the Stars, and was quickly renewed for an 11th season.
However, once star Roseanne Barr made offensive statements on Twitter, the network cancelled Roseanne. Still, it was not ready to give up on the rest of the cast, the Conner family’s story, or a shot an Nielsen gold, and thus The Conners TV show was born.
Like Roseanne before it, The Conners follows the story of working-class family of Roseanne and Dan Conner (John Goodman) including their three children Becky (Lecy Goranson), Darlene (Sara Gilbert), and David Jacob ‘D.J.’ (Michael Fishman), as well as Roseanne’s sister, Jackie Harris (Laurie Metcalf).
The spin-off kicks off after a sudden turn of events results in the working-class Lanford, Illinois family facing life’s ups and down without its matriarch. As in the original family comedy, Dan, Jackie, Darlene, Becky, and D.J. grapple with the stuff of everyday living, from relationships, to pregnancy and parenthood, financial challenges, and more. No matter what challenges they must meet, the Conners endure, thanks to their persistence, humor, and most of all — love.

I think the show without Roseanne is like watching the I love Lucy show without Lucy,,,,,, pure stupid,,,,and not so funny….. ..
I wouldn’t watch one minute of it- it was a travesty to fire Roseanne – absolutely ridiculous – the cast should have demanded her back- screw them all. No allegemce – not ONE MINUTE!
No show is not good without Roseanne
According to the news, it has been renewed already, LMAO… ABC will lose money (ratings keep tanking), so they can prove they didn’t need Roseanne.
The show is not the same without Roseanne!! I will not to watching The Conners, dull and boring show now!!!

Laurie Metcalf is so funny. Reminds me of Art Carney playing Ed Norton on the Honeymooners.
Bring back Roseanne or cancel “the Conners”. The show was SO funny before she was fired, and now it simply sucks. Just keeping it real, folks.

Cancel, or either act like one of the kids or Dan had a bad Dream a Nightmare, about Mom Roseanne and they realized she had a Drug problem ,and we need to get her help,, and they wake up and tell the Family, and they get her help . And here comes Rosanne back ,not the Conners,then you have your ratings back and we have a great show to watch again ,

The Conners is a great show. It grapples with a lot of issues that people can relate to. The cast is wonderful and I applaud ABC for making this happen. All these actors and behind the scenes people should be able to continue with the excellent work that they are doing. One person’s lack of proper judgement should not affect the many other hard working peoples lives…or us viewers who enjoy the show.

Cancel, without Roseanne ABC should be ashamed of itself . You caved in to politics, nothing more. Sometimes stand up comics can say things that may offend some people. It’s been that way for years. If you can’t laugh at it and brush it off, pull up your boots and go home!

Cancel the show. This was a political shame that Roseanne was fired. And I didn’t even watch the first episode out of curiosity. What a ridiculous idea to have Roseanne without Roseanne. Jumped Shark big time.
