Will there be another season of True Detective? Recently, HBO boss Casey Bloys gave an update on the status of season three, Deadline reports.
Earlier this month, it was reported that Oscar-winner Mahershala Ali was in talks to star in season three of the crime drama anthology. The HBO series’ polarizing second season wrapped in 2015.
At the summer TCA press conference, Bloys confirmed that Ali will star in season three of True Detective and there are already five finished scripts:
hey are terrific. … I was very impressed and excited. We are talking to directors, and when we have a director we want to hire, it will be a go.”

I’d at least give it a chance. I still watch the first season as there’s so much to McConaughey’s character that I can relate to. On the other hand, I’d be perfectly happy never to see the second season, I say with reluctance…
