It wasn’t a great start for the new series but Awake still outperformed the premieres of (essentially-cancelled) The Firm, and (cancelled) The Playboy Club, and Prime Suspect. If the show can stay at this level of ratings, it’s got a very good chance of being renewed for a second season. It’s amazing how poor a show’s ratings can be on NBC and still be one of the best rated shows on the network.
Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
What do you think? Do you like the Awake TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?

I love this show and will be so disappointed if it is not renewed.
This show is great. Very disappointed that the show would be cancelled. Not a good
decision to cancel the show! Great acting, great script… a show that actually made us
think!
This show is almost too good to be true. If it is cancelled, then it will have proved me right. Television this good doesn’t exist elsewhere.
We LOVE this show!
I absolutely love this show! I hope you don’t cancel!
If this show is canceled, I will be so upset. This is the highlight of my week and I am always so excited when it comes on. Canceling this show will be, yet another, the ending to something absolutely brilliant!
This show is Awesome I dont understand why its being cancelled! I watch it when I can or DVR it but if it helps I will make sure to watch it when it comes on, otherwise another good show will be gone just like Prime Suspect… get it together NBC
Please don’t cancel this show!
So disappointed to learn this really exceptional show is not been given a chance. To be blunt, it requires some thinking to enjoy. It has way above average quality in writing, acting & directing. Unfortunately, like “Life”, another great show NBC let go, I don’t know how or what can be done to bombard NBC with compelling argument for keeping the show. I suppose another reality competition of some crap, ugh. Hoe DVD of “Awake” will be available.
Without question the best show on television. Please don’t cancel
I absolutely live this show please don’t take it off
Please dont cancel this show!!!! I love it!! It is the best thing on nbc!! Just give it some more time. I dont know who does your ratings, but you need to reconsider!! The actors are excellent, story line is excellent!!
This show took me a couple episodes to get into it. Each episode gets better. Absolutely love this show. Excellent writing, directing, acting…..will really miss it. One of the 4 shows I watch regularly on TV. I don’t stay up to watch it, but always catch it “ON DEMAND” the next day.
I think the time slot should be changed earlier and it would work.
Please don’t cancel this amazing show!! We gave either dvr’d or caught up on episodes on cable. The acting is excellent and the story line has us hooked!! Keep Awake!!
I adore this show and am very disappointed, but not surprised, to hear it’s going to be cancelled. Most shows I like are cancelled.
