Those Who Kill: LMN TV Series Cancelled, No Season Two

Those Who Kill TV show canceledTo no surprise, the Those Who Kill TV show has been cancelled after one season. A dramatic thriller, the series follows homicide detective Catherine Jensen (Chloë Sevigny) as she tracks down serial killers in the Pittsburgh area. Others in the cast include James D’Arcy, James Morrison, Bruce Davison, Omid Abtahi, and Kerry O’Malley.

The series drew terrible ratings on A&E and was pulled from the cable channel after two episodes. The dramatic thriller was later relaunched on Lifetime Movie Network (LMN). Though the series earned some devoted fans, the ratings got even worse. The finale drew just 480,000 viewers.

The last episode aired on May 18th and series creator Glen Morgan tweeted, “Thank you to Those Who Found, Watched and Supported #ThoseWhoKill. We’ll miss Pittsburgh. #LetsGoBucs.”

He also noted that, “Catherine will be okay.” — a nod to the last episode’s cliffhanger ending in which the main character’s fate was left up in the air.

What do you think? Did you enjoy this series? Why didn’t it catch on?

Netflix should pick up season 2 of this terrific series. Just finished watching the entire first season over the course of one week and found it equal to the finest that HBO and Showtime and Netflix can offer. Chloe Sevigny along with the entire cast and writing is amazing!

I loved the show, and I’m very sad to see that it’s not coming back. I live in Pittsburgh and I watch a ton a series, but I was looking forward to season 2. Very sad!

I loved this show and am devastated that they’re not going to do a 2nd season? WHY? This was fast-paced, exciting, sensitive and thought- provoking. The characters were really quite good too especially Catherine. A real shame to lose gritty and hard yet emotional shows like this!

I live in hope that someone somewhere will pick up on this final season if not show the whole series again. It just needs a channel that devotes itself to thought provoking series like this one. In Australia I feel sure this series would have been very successful on SBS a free to air channel which devotes itself to local content European drama series like The Bridge and The Legacy. Perhapes they can purchase it at bargain basement prices if non of the close minded limited intelligence pay TV channels want it.
