Zero Hour: Cancellation Reactions from the Cast

zero hour canceled? As you may have already heard, Zero Hour has been cancelled by ABC after only three episodes. The news doesn’t come as a surprise as the debut represented ABC’s worst scripted premiere in the history of their regular seasons. The numbers for episodes two and three were even worse.

Still, there were at least five million or so people who made a point of watching Zero Hour each week. They’re understandably upset about the cancellation news — as are members of the cast.

Addison Timlin (Rachel): “The end of zerohour brings me great sadness, but every ending is a new beginning and that is always laced with hope. Thank you all, truly.” “What to the world was just 3 episodes was a whole year for us. Truly an honor to know, work with and love you, to everyone on the team. Xo”

Jacinda Barrett (Laila): agreed with Timlin’s second statement and added, “couldn’t have said it better. Xxxx”

Carmen Ejogo (Beck): “In a NY minute everything can change In a NY minute things can get a little strange” “#nomorezerohour I guess that means I can start watching American Idol again. #alwayslookonthebrightsideoflife” “I believe process is often more important than outcome. I had the BEST time making @ZeroHour_ABC with everyone all year, so #noregretsbaby”

Scott Michael Foster (Aaron): “I absolutely loved #ZeroHour and everyone who worked on it. Will miss filming one of the coolest and enjoyable shows I’ve been on.” “To all my wonderful twitter followers, you make the hard part of this job so much easier with your kind words and support. Thank you.”

What do you think? What was your reaction to Zero Hour being cancelled? What did you think of the work of the show’s cast and crew?

We seldom watch alot of TV, but this show had us looking forward to it each week. I guess we are in the minority when it comes to enjoying an intellectual thriller. The double didget IQ majority wins again with reality shows…….

All I can say is they gave star trek a better shot than they did zero hour. One more reason not to watch commerical tv.

Two of us were watching this and we want to see all the episodes. Enough with
starting a series and not completing it. And shame on them for not telling the viewers it might never happen.

I can’t believe it! I thought last week with it not being on was just because of spring break. But when I went to look tonight, and saw Shark Tank to be on in place again, I looked online to find this! CANCELLED AFTER 3 EPISODES! REALLY! REALLY!!!! Whose bright idea was that? You could have let it run the entire season since the whole premise of series is that it wraps itself up by the end of the season. But, NOOOOOOO You have to cut us of at the knees not knowing what was going to happen. I don’t know who and why “YOU” at the networks makes the decisions, but you certainly don’t have the viewer’s well being in mind. Probably your pocket books. I knew there was a reason why I am choosing to not watch ABC, CBS, NBC of FOX much anymore. Geeesh! GRRRRR!!!!

I really enjoyed Zero Hour. It was intriguing and held one’s interest. I guess that’s why it was canceled; the viewer was required to have the ability to think and process complex story lines. It was one of a handful of shows I watch…the majority of what is on the networks is asinine drivel.

They were getting better and very interesting. I want to see more and see what happens.
NO FAIR to take it off, just when your trying to figure it out.

I am hoping TNT, TBS, or USA picks it up… much better show than the filth that disney has on there now…(and yes disney owns ABC, for those who didnt know)

AGAIN ABC has taken away a good tv show. I am sooo disappointed, I looked forward to watching it. I think it deserved more shows than only three!!!! Just who makes these decisions.

Network exec’s are cowards when it comes to new series. They don’t give them a chance to get viewers interested. And those of us who are early adapters get the shaft again. I read somewhere that they might show the rest of the episodes, that they have already shot, this summer. But if they don’t have a final episode the ties up all the loose end what’s the use of watching them. Stupid people in charge. A show like MASH would never make it today because it took time for it to get a following.

I am extremely upset. This is an awesome show. I am tired of ABC canceling excellent shows. 666 Park Ave was also awesome. Why doesn’t ABC just stick w something. Think I am now canceling ABC. Good-bye

Best show out in a long time and it gets cancelled. And look at the junk you are replacing it with. I have a theory that all the networks have a big wheel and spin it to give ideas for new shows!!!! Bad choice to cancel gentlemen and ladies.

My son and I both were very upset it was cancelled. We couldn’t wait for the next episodes to come on. It was a great show, I think the government did the pulling because it brought up things closely related to the coming Armageddon!!!

Yes ABC you do suck. I can’t believe it. We were just getting in to it. Looking forward for this weeks episode. I’m sure other programs weren’t hits the first or second showing. You jumped ship to early.
