As long as CBS is programming Sunday nights, it seems like there will be a 60 Minutes. Will this venerable program be cancelled or is it defacto renewed each year? Stay tuned.
One of the most successful shows in television history, 60 Minutes continues to offer investigative reports, interviews, feature segments and profiles of people in the news. Correspondents include Steve Kroft, Scott Pelley, Anderson Cooper, Lara Logan, Sharyn Alfonsi, Bill Owens, Lesley Stahl, Morley Safer, Bill Whitaker, Armen Keteyian, and Jeffrey Fager.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
6/20 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.

For comparisons: The 47th season of 60 Minutes averaged a 1.74 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 11.78 million total viewers.
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the 60 Minutes TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a 49th season? Should it ever end?
INFORMATIVE!
I hope it is never canceled. A good show for those who care about their country. Wish it inspired more change. Everyone is so busy, the next day it is back to business as usual, but the seeds of information have been planted.
