What’s This TV Show About?

Airing on the Freeform cable channel, Baby Daddy stars Jean-Luc Bilodeau, Tahj Mowry, Derek Theler, Melissa Peterman, Chelsea Kane, Sura Harris, and Kayleigh Harris. The sitcom centers on Ben Wheeler (Bilodeau). After his one-night-stand, Angela (Mimi Gianopulos), leaves their baby on his doorstep, Ben decides to raise the child with the help of his family and friends. In season six, Ben is still searching for the mysterious Elle. Danny (Theler) and Riley (Kane) are on the hunt for a doctor to help with the pregnancy, and Bonnie (Peterman) wants to be involved. Tucker (Mowry) is back from Los Angeles, but he refuses to tell anyone what happened while he was there.
 

Season Six Ratings

The sixth season of Baby Daddy averaged a 0.21 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 459,000 viewers. Compared to season five, that’s down by 18% and down by 18%, respectively. Learn how Baby Daddy stacks up against other Freeform TV shows.
 

Telly’s Take

While it already has a decent-sized syndication package and Baby Daddy’s ratings have dropped from year to year, this sitcom is still one of Freeform’s better performers. Thus, it was renewed for season six. Since this TV series is a half-hour sitcom, it is cheaper to produce than the typical hourlong drama, so its fate could depend on the success of Freeform’s pilot season. Because it’s still too early in the season to assess whether Baby Daddy will be cancelled or renewed for season seven on Freeform, I’ll keep an eye on the ratings and update this page, periodically.
