In what will likely go down as the surprise renewal of the season, The CW has ordered a third season of ratings-challenged Beauty and the Beast. The show has performed poorly this season and was even yanked off the schedule a few months ago.
On Beauty and the Beast, a beautiful detective (Kristin Kreuk), navigates her evolving relationship with a handsome doctor (Jay Ryan) who becomes a terrifying beast. Others in the cast are Austin Basis, Brian White, Max Brown, and Nina Lisandrello.
The show is the network’s second-lowest rated series of the season, attracting an average of a 0.2 demo rating and just 770,000 weekly viewers. The show was put on hiatus in March with the remaining six episodes of season two slated to air this summer, beginning June 2nd.
Word is that the season three renewal is a result of strong international sales for CBS (which co-owns the network).

Am i glad for a batb season 3, oh my gosh! this is my dream. when they took it off for a break the other day until june i was just —— dead already. i even stop posting comments about the show, i hardly go on facebook, because batb was the only reason i go on facebook just to comment on jay ryan and kristin. i love them so much. now vincent is all over my facebook page, this is just totally awesome. want season 4,5,6,7,8,9,10…. and then a movie spin-off. I totally agree with you. I love this show and have been watching it since it first aired. I am so glad they are renewing BATB for a 3rd season.
I came late to the party–December 2013 to BATB–but because of Netflix, I started looking at the show. Sonetimes 4 episodes of season 1 at a time. I truly fell ib love with show. Caught up with season 2 during the hiatus of the show streaming it on the internet. Can’t get enough of this show and looking forward to a season 3–even if it is for only 13 episodes, that’s better than nothing, Beasties.

Love Beauty and the Beast….one of my favorites also….so glad to hear we are getting maybe season 3? As others have said….at least there is no witch craft or bad sex scenes or cussing or gore…….it is very good in my humble opinion.
Love the show, I am so thrilled they are going ahead with season 3 & hope there will be plenty more to follow.
I am soooooooo glad that BATB got another season. I truly love this show and I can’t say it enough how the chemistry between Vincent & Cat is amazing. They play their roles so well that they make it believable. I have seen them do interviews and they still have the same chemistry. They don’t have to say anything all they have to do is look at one another .
I don’t like too many shows but this is one that I really, really enjoy

YES! Beauty and The Beast for a 3rd season is GREAT news. It’s my favorite show to watch, for the action AND the romance. Vincent and Catherine are great. I hope we get many more seasons to enjoy.
Beauty & The Beast is one of the very best shows I love to watch. The chemistry between Vincent & the lovely Katherine is so moving when I watch some of their more emotional moments. I sincerely hope the series remains on the air for at least 5 full seasons, I can’t get enough of it!
I am so happy Beauty and the Beast is being renewed. It has been one of my favorite shows. I am not a Vampire Diaries fan. But I love Beauty and the Beast.
I am not Vampires nor Zombies. Love it that we Beasties got a season 3–even though only 13 esisodes will be ordered. But thats better than nothing.

Listen, if you dirt bags cancel B&B i just may go postal on the network! Well….let me just say i will be T’d off- with all that’s taking place nowadays let me bring that back, i am not hurting anyone just figuratively speaking (sighing) but come on give me a break! I have watched this show since day one….and will be pissed if i can’t see my show. I love the love scenes. You can’t find any movies without witchcraft, majic, or vampires these days…..dang (ugh)
