It looks like The Catch has failed to catch on. The ABC TV series has been cancelled after two seasons. The defacto series finale airs tonight.
Created by Kate Atkinson, Helen Gregory, and Jennifer Schuur, the drama follows a game of cat and mouse between private investigator, Alice Vaughan (Mireille Enos), and the man she loves, the elusive con artist, Benjamin Jones (Peter Krause). The cast also includes Jay Hayden, Jacky Ido, Rose Rollins, Sonya Walger, Elvy Yost, and John Simm.
Unlike Shonda Rhimes’ series that have also aired on Thursday nights, The Catch has never pulled in strong ratings. Even after extensive retooling as a romantic comedy, season two has been averaging a poor 0.68 rating in the 18-49 demo and only 3.32 million viewers, making it one of ABC‘s lowest-rated series for the 2016-2017 season.
Produced by Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers, The Catch was supposedly a favorite of ABC boss Channing Dungey. Unfortunately, that wasn’t enough to land the low-rated series a third season.

I am so disappointed that this show was canceled. It was such a good show and I was so looking forward to the third season. What a bummer. Hardly any good shows on and now nothing to look forward to.

The catch , greys anatomy, scandal and how to get away with murder were all my favourites. This just kills shondaland
i really enjoyed watching The Catch it was entertaining and i just feel that the show never really had a chance to build a name for itself. Why disappoint the viewers? This always happens to the good shows honestly.
Amazing how a show that is just cancelled lists as first in my FOXplay series by popularity list! I guess different countries different standards…

Typical of most of these Networks. They renew the garbage shows and cancel the good ones. I quit watching the TV for good. Hopefully Netflix or somewhere will pick up the show because it was one of the better ones and now it’s cancelled. I am so sick the good shows being cancelled in the crap shows being renewed. Quantico sucks, it is the worst show I’ve seen in a long time and it continues to be renewed every year, same with Blue Bloods. I will just stick with Netflix.
