The Alphabet Network is at home in Shondaland. TV Line reports The Catch TV show on ABC has been renewed for a second season. When the series was not included in ABC’s early season, fans feared The Catch would be cancelled.
A high-stakes private investigator/cat-and-mouse drama, The Catch features Mireille Enos as Alice Vaughan, who runs an excluse P.I. and security firm, Anderson/Vaughan, with her best friend and partner Valerie Anderson (Rose Rollins). When Alice’s fiancé, Christopher Hall (Peter Krause) targets swindles her out of 1.4 million dollars and disappears, she learns he is the Mr. X she has been tracking for her clients — master con artist Benjamin Jones. Alimi Ballard, Jay Hayden, Jacky Ido, Sonya Walger, and Elvy Yost also star.

I am DELIGHTED!!! Alice is a great heroine – I am so hooked and rooting for Alice+Ben. Great writing, acting and directing. The English cast is a great addition, Well done ABC and #shondarhimes
I really enjoyed this new show. It’s got a plot that is pretty original for its’ day and I can’t wait to see what happens next. I only wish that it had continued during the transition between the season finale of our autumn shows and the premieres of our much anticipated summer shows. It would have definitely softened the blow. I already purchased the season on Amazon Prime TV and have watched it a few times. It is a great show and written with an edge of your seat writing!! Love it and relieved it was not foolishly cancelled!!!! Love Peter Krause and cast I do not recognize but will as the series progresses. Sophisticated, humorous and overall just a fun show to watch and grow with. By the way how ABC handled Michael Strahan leaving Kelly and Michael was so discourteous made me so very angry. The powers that be are overexposing him ..,GMA and now game show…c’mon really. Love it…my daughter and I are hooked on it. It is clever at times, fun and keeps us entertained Exactly what we need for a thursday night. Please keep it coming. We are truly invested.
The show started slow and I questioned how it would go – stuck with it and it gets better & better – glad to hear it’s been renewed I will keep it on my DVR recording schedule.

This show looked quite promising from the pre-debut trailer. The first episode was a bit weak… and was panned by reviewers. But, I thought I’d stick with it for another episode, or two. Glad I did! The Catch continues to get better and better…. I’m pleased that ABC decided on a second season. Of course, if this had been on NBC, it would have between cancelled after the first week.
